nice post with good ideas! i do have some questions though i just started hunting jedi and i love it, i love the hunt ,and the pvp that comes with it. i have the temp you first mentioned Mp/MBH?CM2000 but i cant seem to kill any jedi! I have allways been a good PVPER but took a long break (1 year) came back and everything is diff. i can last about 5 min befor i die (all jedi i have fought have been full temp) i know what i have to do is either jump on them so quick thay dont know what happened or griend it out till thay run out of force but i cant seem to do either, i know food is a big part of PVP now but dont know what to take. i wear the comp armor but see a lot of BH wearing diff armor.

i liked the chat tab idea but dont you need to know the name of the jedi to use it? anyway nice post if you can give me some advise i would be greatfull.

Disclaimer: These are just my opinons of course

1. Since you've newly returned, get used to the Combat Upgrade, go PvE it for a while. Everything is slower than before but the professions as a whole are on a more equal footing.

2. If you're a Master Pistoleer you shouldn't be wearing compositeto hunt your mark. Recon armors will serve you better as they offer more protection against energy based weapons ( lightsabers ). Use composite during PvE forprotection against Kinetic damage.

3. Foods are probably a personal choice.I personally have Vegapersine(sp?), Vasarian Brandy, Synth Steak, Elydru ( something or other ). My food choices are almost entirely defensive and honestly probably not the best choice. I've been using up my supplies since pre-CU.A lot of people are fond of Rubie Bliel ( which reduces the cooldown on your Stims ). My best advice is to head to the bazaar and take a look at whats available. If I had it to do over again I'd engineer all of my foods for offense.Increased Accuracy and Speed. You may know but I'll explain why anyhow.Your accuracy is pitted against their defense.If your accuracy exceeds their defensive score it adds a damage bonus to your weaponry. 4.I should qualify my opinions regardingthe MBH+MP template. At that time I usually took missions ranging from 150k-200k. Clearly this is no longer possible so regardlessof your template you are nowgoing to have an increased percentage of failed missions. You're also absolutely correct about the way to win. Alpha Strike, Wear em down, or Ambush. As a pistoleer, I normally started with my knockdown+crit+bleed+root+crit+improvise a bit and then started over. I was always moving unless they were rooted. Don't waste your knockdowns. Be sure to have enough action to follow through with at least one critical otherwise its not worth it. Be sure to mix up your use of stims with CM heals.

If your goal is to wear them down then I suggest you NOT have any sort of "auto-attack" turned on as this will slow down your regen. Mystrategy has usually been to keep their mind regen stifled (traumatize) while maintaining enoughDoTs to force them to expend action, mind, and force. If they are carrying a holocron you're likely screwed ( it replenishes their force bar but is usable only once per 24 hours). The end goal being that once we are both worn down I will have enough action and mind tooverwhelm my foe. I also have a macro bound to a button that switches to another bar and attempts to reapply all my food buffs and racial buffs ( useful for long drawn out battles ).I still keep stims. They seem to take noor little mind and are invaluable for long fights.If your rooted, be sure to use your Duelist Stance as it reduces their effectiveness and damage output. Though this isn't always possible, I try and save my knockdown, paralyze, and thyroid rupture( slows down their attacks )for these situations. If I don't think I can win,I prefer to flee than die. Better to live to fight another day

5. Chat Tab thingy. You're correct without the name its of limited usefulness. There is another posting in here where I described how its still useful to me.
