Thread: What has happened to this community?
Kashykk is what in my opinion has created the majority of the tension between the two sides.
Prior to the jedi being given a safe haven to hide on the two sides didnt seem to argue half as much on the boards :/

Nothing was more fun than hunting a master pre-curb.
The curb then took place and a new class of BH'rs appeared. These Bh's were eager to hunt Jedi and cash in like their fellow brethern have in the past. However this eagerness caused a lot of repec Bh's to jump the gun and become very frustrated with the proffession. It was the few of this majority that revitalized the hatered between Jedi and Bounty Hunters by crying nerf on the Jedi.
If the proper time was put into learning the proffession instead of crying nerf, the forums would not be as heated as they are now. The old school bh's need to learn to accept the Respec Hunters and show them the ways of hunting and preparing properly. A jedi hunt is very different from your normal PvP, it is all about timing and oppurtunity.
However it has been a dark day for the proffession with publish 20. Yes there are pros and cons for the publish, but I will not address this at the time. All I will say is having the supposed jedi being on-line on the terminal is nice, but I would rather have the Jedi on my friends list and sift through the numerous bounties to find my mark.
HOTuri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QFE. Crying about jedi ability before you know what your doing is retarded. Whatever jedi nerf happens afterwards is shortly followed by a corresponding nerf to us. I dont know about everyone else, but i was just starting to get used to things post cu....and now i feel like im starting over again in part because some bh noob didnt put the same amount of time into learning his prof as he did crying nerf the jedi.
SEEPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel your pain. I guess it is just something we get used to as BH's how many times before this have we gotten the shaft. It is just another shortfall for us. We are finally at the status that we should be and we are thrown publish 20. The publish is supposed to help the BH with their hunting, like I stated in the aforementioned I would rather scan the terminals and look at my 400+ friendlist. Just becasue we can pair our profession up with another for smart hunting nerf should not be cried. However it is.

What happened to the community?
The changing of the developers happened. New ideas. Changing the Star Wars universe as we know it. Making this game a single profession game. Nerfing. Combat Upgrade. Kashyyyk. ZONES. More nerfing. Catering to the Jedi. Barc speeders for the total experience customers (leaving the veteran digital downloaders out to dry). Jedi love. Nerfing. etc.
I do not have a say as to what the devs do. They can do what they want. I am just a player in both sense of the word. But either way I think they should sit down and re-evaluate thier position on the direction of this game.

Or maybe let us know where their heads are at so that we can make informed decisions about our profs. Something to let us figure out what the best course of action for our toons before we get slammed with a buggy patch.

I do understand what you are saying however I do not believe that every Bh in the game blames the Jedi for the forth comings of the profession. Anyone who is knowledgeable enough knows that it is due to the fault of the developers. The Jedi get blamed for theeverything because of the developers cater to theirneeds over anyone elses. How long have the smugglers been neglected? or should we even dare talk about the pistoleers and the empty promises to them about dual weilding pistols. It is just that the Jedi grab the attention of the developers over the other professions becasue they are Jedi.
WoW a Bh that understands this. it is a symbiotic relationship. Bh's asked for Jedi to be nerfed and they were and nerfed hard too, but in this now they will not have names on the terms and is just as difficul;t as before as it should be when you are hunting an actual player who also pays for the game and takes away from wheatever he/she has accomplished. The BH proffession is the ONLY proffession with this luxury. I see all the time "Jedi knew they would be hunted" and yes that is true. I tell all Jedi to suck it up or find another proffession, but just the same, BH's KNEW it isn't easy to be a BH and the Bh's have had it great with being able to hunt Noobs all day with ease. Now that hunting a full template Jedi is not difficult for the BH who knows what they are doing, they have made it more difficult for a Bh to get more than one person on a Jedi as well.

That's the point right there....in fact, BH's are NOT the only people blaming jedi, it's the whole non-jedi player base. And for the exact reason you stated, the developers pay more attention to jedi than they do anyone else and it's disheartening to everyone else.Most of the negativity is from BH's basically because any changes to the jedi profession affects us in a very direct way, but most of the real problems here in SWG is the undeniable fact that the devs spend more time trying to make jedi happy than they do trying to fix professions that have been broken since launch.

Not to mention that during all this they end up breaking professions beyond belief, such as all the entertainment proffs...I really, really feel sorry for the entertainers, they've got it the worst of all right now 
Agreed, but this forces senior BH's to hunt noobs that ordinarly dont. Since the curb I only went after marks that were 200+. Today I took 5 mission of which 3 were noobs, 3 shot kills. Even pre-curb me and my guild would only hunt knights and up. That was fun. With this new adjustment it kinda lacks luster for me but like everything else you deal with it and adjust as your profession adjusts.

You can say it about most any profession here except Jedi. The boards are generally quiet. They only get disturbed when SOE points its Heat Ray at any given part of the game.
