Thread: Overloaded sabers, still nothing done about it.
i dont think the FCC regulates teamspeak ... so i dont think recording conversation over teamspeak is illegal ...
what it is though is poor evidence lol... hear say is always poor evidence and always has to be taken as being "possibly true" ... even in my post i make sure to include the fact it was hearsay .. and that it was only what i "heard" ... the only truth would be to experience it yourself .. which i havent yet ... i dont think ...

You wont be using the recorded team speak conversation as any form of evidence other than evidence against you in criminal proceedings. You do realise that it is actually illegal to record a conversation with someone without either their consent or a court appointed warrent don't you ?
It is a very serious matter in fact under the data-protection act in the UK and under similar acts relating to civili liberties in the US.
If i were you i would consider deleting both the recorded conversation and your mention of it in this thread.
it's only illegal in certain states such as CA, FL, and NY. It is considered invasion of privacy, not civil liberties, and be a felony. Just FYI =))

gee, i dont think anyone would be smart enough to set up teamspeak, make a fake conversation, record it and then try to use it as evidence for soe...but you never know with those crazy bh. by the way, why would you record a team speak conversation. and better yet, why was it at that specific time?
#1 - go away jedi troll.
#2 - i have fought too many jedi to not know what the damage should be. 7985 energy 2250 psg and 6k across the board for elemental. No way have i ever been hit ANYTIME for over 800 without them using armor break. the MOST i have been hit for was 865 my MLS. 1100 damage is impossible with the armor stats that i have WITHOUT armor break. And i'm ready to bet that even with it wouldn't top 900.
#3 - other people have complained about the EXACT same thing

Fought enough Jedi to know what the damage should be...but not enough to realize that your PSG won't do squat to stop light saber damage, since it only applies to RANGED energy attacks, and a light saber is melee, including the saber throw attack?
Oh, wait...let me guess...you fight a lot of Powers' Jedi? Guess what....doesn't work for them either, effective pub19. ![]()

And don't forget there are different laws for phone and broadband. One of my acquaintances who works for a federal law enforcement agency said that was a big problem, getting court orders to monitor VoIP conversations because it wasn't the same as telephone conversations.
yep, gotta take that in consideration..i missed that...but the laws are pretty similar in the states i listed above, the more stricter states.

* illegally records all conversations in this thread *
all i need now is my special CIA squad of foreign BH to break into the jedi campaign headquaters...
its an exploit involving adding additional cyrstals/pearls into your saber, past the limit of 4.
i recieved an email about this in game and i was warned which jedi to watch out for who are using this exploit.

no it definitly IS illegal, you need there permission before you can record them. but alot of the laws like that depend on where the server is hosted out of in the U.K. its illegal as far as i know. but the US laws dont make much sense anyways

ahh ok well i guess it does make sense .. since the FCC has jurisdiction over anything that travels across a wire ..or an airwave ....i just dont think theyd take a filed suit involving teamspeak seriously

PvP event last night, a large group of 8 + another 3, in our group there were 3 riflemen, and I had a good rifle, nice damage PUPs, good accuracy food, etc. Then a jedi appears, and this is what happens:
4k energy protection, 6k elemental protection (a good shock trooper armor, I know I should've used a scout trooper armor but oh well), no armor break, 1600 damage per hit. I could NOT believe. And my melee/ranged defenses are pretty high compared to many defenses.
Then I ask my friends, it's the same. 1.3-1.6k damages. Most of it is energy damage I suppose, so a scout trooper armor is a must, with a shield generator. Maybe could reduce the damage to 1k as it's already stated.
One other thing we noticed is the extreme low damages we could inflict to the jedi (ok, this has always been the case, like 350-400 and maybe 500 with specials, maybe). Also, NONE of our roots (pistoleer one included), knockdowns (both carbineer and BH), debuffs (blind, bleed, dizzy, etc.) was sticking anymore. NONE. We battled 4 different Jedi that night, and the results were the same.
There is something going on.

4k armor is low. force resist states is a skill, also being ranged a mdef with valor going caps on ranged def. psg as stated above is only for ranged attacks.
This is a real problem and I agree the devs need to fix it.
The thing is a lot of these little exploiters are getting smart. What they do is bring the saber as close to the max stats that are possible in game to avoid obvious suspicion. They might get the stats of the saber to 750-800 damage while having the speed of the saber almost at 0. Extremely hard to catch these people because :
1) It is possible to hit a person once a second without an exploited saber
2) It is possible to get a 750-800 max LS
Either way it's extremely hard to catch some of these exploiters so the best way to deal with it is complain to the devs. btw, this is coming from a Jedi (my alt is a BH). Jedi I believe hate these exploiters just as much as everyone else so keep that in mind.
**oh and for the record Jedi can hit for 1-1.5k easily in PvP if the saber is of good quality. It's when you get hit for 2k and you have some good gear that questions should be raised on whether the saber is exploited or not**
