Hmmm get your weapons all of them I mean

EE3 Laser and DXR6 Carbines

Scatter FW5G Scout

LLC

Start with Bounty Missions at the Bounty terminal in Coronet. The terminal and the informant you have to speak to are right next to each other, you don't even have to move. Look for missions in or near cities and abort the rest. Save your credits you'll need them for the Investigation missionslater in life. You should have 0/1/1/0 as your skill set in you trained pistol and carbine when you worked your 40k combat experience. If not grab a rock beetle from a CH and use the pet for Marks. Get some good armor and start collecting very good weapons when you see them.

Hello All,

I am a new Novice BH, I was going for a BE/CH/Pistoleer character but saw the error of my ways. That being said I have been reading the board daily trying to pick out any gems of advice from folks and I have to say that there is more hate on this board than any other place I have been. It hasn't detoured me from my calling just an observation. I have found that like any skill the lvling of weapons is nothing more than hooking up with buds and killing Rebels. I have done 2 BH missions, I know that is not much of a sample but I will say that getting lvl 1 investigation will prolly just be a couple of hours on my day off, the rest of the tree does seem to get dramatically more difficult. As far as special moves go I really cann't coment on them I am currentyl 0/0/1/1. I do have a question concerning overload 2, it is broke right? Other than that I plan to, as if you care, make at least a weekly post concerning my progress and what I see as good and or bad things with the BH profession. As an aside I am spending my other points in Artisian and Medic. Artisian cause I have a very successfull power buisness, and medic for those PVE missions cause I have found out that there is no time for healing in pvp.

Heh yeah..im from the school of leap before you look.

Makes life waaay more interesting.

What the deal with the LLC's?

I bought one and it had 32 charges and hit for 15-20 and gace me only a few points of exp in it.

What should i buy for one of these things?

Using the one i bought(lightning) it would cost about 2 billion cred and take 5 RT years to fill a blockl, what am i doing wrong here? (again this may be due to my refusal to actually read anything, learning is hard, ow)

You bought the lightning beam for Commando.

You need a light lightning cannon.

Equip it and your marks should be yellow or close to it.

JUst made novice BH and noticed there is no rifle tree.

Should i bother using them anymore?

Also why are all my marks red?

Do i just need to build up skills (already 1 1/2 pistol blocks) or are they all tough?

First of all, congrats on attaining Novice BH. Welcome to the wonderful (more or less, depending on your viewpoint) world of Bounty Hunting!

You are free to continue to use rifles, but the rifle experience you get will not be helpful for you in any way for the Bounty Hunter skill trees. Personally, I might use a rifle again, when I have maxed out Carbine, Pistol and LLC. There might be some situations where a rifle could be potentially useful, though.

Marks generally con red to me when I'm holding a pistol or carbine, yellow or white when I'm holding a LLC. They are tough, but not overly so. If you don't just charge in weapons blazing, you have a very good chance of coming out on top.

For general info on BH and new BH info in particular, I recommend Genghis_Expee's (sorry if misspelled) Bounty Hunter FAQ. Wepps made it sticky, so just scroll up.

Last but not least, have fun!

lol bountyonmyarse good catch you get a 5 star rating on your post.

Anyways...

The level of the mark also depends on the weapon you are holding when you get the mission. If you get the mission unarmed marks will be white to yellow with pistol. if you get the mission with a llc the mark will be red no matter what and will be significantly harder. So the trick is, if you want easier marks when you get the mission go to the terminal unarmed so you get the easy missions with the easy marks.
