What combat profession do most Rangers use? If I had to guess I would say Rifleman, I don't know why, just seems to be what a Ranger would use. Me, I'm a TKM. So, everyone please post your combat style.

I have done a few combat professions. Rifleman, Fencer, Creature Handler, and I am working on TK. (all the while maintaining my Master Ranger)
In my very humble opinion, I think Rangers do fine with any combat profession. It's just a matter of style. If you are already a TKM and you like being a TKM it works great.
If you are going for the "hunter" approach, then Rifleman is probably what you want to go for.
The reason that am currently (and slowly) on the way up the TK tree is that I want to be much more self sufficient than I am with any other profession. Who knows. Maybe I will master TK and decide that I don't like that one either. But that really is the beauty of the system right?

Ranger and Bounty Hunter. I can't keep it up forever (not enough skill points to get Master Ranger this way), but I just love my BH weapons when I'm hunting for organic resources or going on faction missions.

At the moment I'm mastering brawler, largely because I decided to try the different melee styles, UA, fencer and swords. It then seemed daft to have those three lines filled an NOT do poles too.
Reckon I'll be keeping unarmed and swords though. The speed of attack and damage meeted out is pretty amazing (speaking as a non combat type)
For ranged, I dunno, I've always favoured pistols, largely for speed of attack, though I worked to novice rifles using a couple of spraysticks and crate after crate of PuPs. Pistols also opens up the option of dabbling a little in smuggler...

I'm Ranger/Carbineer with a bit of Fencer for when it gets up close and personal.

Another Ranger / Swordsman here. Though I think I will likely Master Ranger, then back off just enough to allow me to master Brawler along with Swordsman, keeping as much of the trapping and camps as I can manage. Intimidate 2 and +5 two hand speed seems to important to pass up. All the same though, I am rather attached to my super-deluxecampsites...

Pesoj is Master Ranger/Pistoleer but I am dropping the pistoleer and trying out Rifleman previously Pesoj was a Carbanger and at one time a Bounty Hunter but just enough for LLC4 and Pistol2. Jokito, well he's no Ranger yet, but he's doing TKM mainly because I have never tried it. Think that I might try the Ranger/ Swordman cmbo once I get on TC.

I'm a master ranger and 4 boxes away from master CH. Mainly for nature-boy RP reasons as opposed to it really being effective in combat.
