Thread: Jedi are overloading saber...have you been hit yet?

What is the most damage you, as a Bountyhunter, have been hit for?





Confirm that there is an exploit with sabers and mulitple pearls. Its been around and fixed but now its around again.

From a couple of these posts, it appears there are two exploits here allowing peopleto deal massive damage so quickly there is no opportunity for response. One is the saber overloading, and the other is a bug that allows two attacks simultaneously. I asked in my guildchat, and several people were aware of how to accomplish it.


I've never been hit for more than 1k (980 with 6000 armor), but I have been taken downin multiple hits very quickly on two occasions--both faster than I could even hit heal once. It prompted me to turn the time stamp on my combat log.

Ok Check this then...


MLS, 4000Enhancer, +23 saber speed tapes in clothing, 4nice pearls, a saber experimentation suit that is +20 and allows you to get a a pre-pearl saber to 1.91 speed. What is to say that if the saber with pearls gets down to 1.31 with the buffs and accuracy foods that you can't hit that fast?


I would hope you confirm before you scream exploit, because the last time I checked a fourth generation saber, it only held 5 items, one color crystal and whatever enhanced pearls or crystals.

I've heard that jedi hitting twice in the same attack is an other, new jedi cheat. I've heard it from various jedi players.


Post if you know anything about this...

they fixed it once...if it is back and you use it they will likely ban you...

at the VERY LEAST they will do the same thing they did the first time. they will delete your saber and EVERYTHING in it. that's right. no matter how much time, effort, and credits you put into creating the exploit for your saber, they will DELETE it and everything inside and you will be left holding your...well you get the idea.

I am aware of several players who were doing this back in the day before I had unlocked. One had expressed that ALL of his crystals and pearls were removed from his inventory, house and bank. He also had all his sabers removed. He was forced to start from scratch...a fair lesson although not enough for those who exploit.

1.2k is not an exploit hit at all. The most i have ever reached was 1.8k on a swordsman who i had KD/broken and the fool didnt have armour on (and couldnt have been TK, or that number wouldnt have happened). Honestly I was trying to test along the lines that this may be bug, I'm trying ALOT of different tactics foods, buffs, armors. IfI found thatJedi can hit 1000 damage every second I may question the validity of it, and ask for a confirmation.

The Jedi still averaged twice if not more the amount of damage I did to him. And saber throw still knocks you down, which if I remember right from pub 19 patch notes is not supposed to KD anymore. TIme out.... TIME OUT... Now listen I dont Cheat and any freaking one of you can come find this out or ask a DEV..


BUT, I can do 1200 damage in the right setting to you... so DO NOT think this is not done from a MLS with perfect sabers.. some of us do that them and that is almost exactly the damage we can do with powerstrike and armor break... or some other powers...


So that number is possible... as far as above 2k (Well I have to see that crap)... 1200 though.. Oh yes its possible.








Ive been hit for over 2000 in a single hit and more than 1000 for hits that couldn't be powerhits because they were successive every second.



But jedi are allowed to exploit.





First, the frist part of your post exemplifies the need to have a combat log with time stamps active. The second part of your post is a complete contradiction to the creation of this thread.






I do have timestamps and that is how I know and the second part...(ive updated the post btw) is just a sad statement of factual information because even if we point out these exploits nothing will be done for a long time.

I had expressed the issue relating to saber speed with Tiggs and Dave (don't recall his last name) at FanFest. They claimed they would be taking this erious and would look into it. The work around for the speed bug is what's brought this up. I would advise sending a solid PM to the DEVs. Also, post it on the "live bug" treads being listed by muppet controler.

Master Lightsaber + 25 saber speed + 25 general melee speed + 4000 enhancer + rotating the proper hits + advanced armor break = 1k damage at 1 second. No exploit involved in doing it.

The follwing numbers are not accurate:


My saber speed is around 1.4 and my max dmg is 670ish with 202 elemental damage. I have seen instances where I have performed several attacks within the same second as per the time stamp although lag is likely an issue here (the server lag has been horrendous lately).


After applying Armorbreak (60% reduction of resistences???) and getting a Knockdown (saber throw) on a Bountyhunter I've been able to follow up with a /powerhit and get close to 1300 damage. I can do this on a regular basis with little effort. This will also soak up my action if done repeatedly.


There's a few other attacks that seem to break the attack timers thus showing as if they were striking their targets in the same second although I need to do a little more testing before feeling confident in starting a new witch hunt. I've been hit in this fassion on several occasions and it is devestaing. Nothing worse then getting hit 5 times in 2-3 seconds for 600-900 a piece.

no i can go toe to toe against a MLS, just not a MLS doing that much damage..guildie has 2 120 and 2 119 pearls in her saber and she only hits me for 600-700 at MLS.






Doesn't sounds like she is applying states. Dizzy, Armor Break, KD....Powerhit, I easily hit Master Defender for 1k+.


Have never attempted on non-jedi.








no she dizzys kds, and runs aura+valor for defense. she does powerhit too. so. yeah.

I have been hit with one of these exploited sabers. Igot hit with1800+ damage by the same guy twice. I had a health crystal buff and he killed me very fast. I wasnt lag either. I just knew I was stading there and 3 seconds later I was down. I didnt bother to look at the combat log cause I thought it was just lag. I found out how they are doing it, but I'm not going to post it. I've sent a forum mail to Tiggs on it.

We on the Jedi Forum have been complaining about a bug that we ourselves had to find a fix for, then some one decided to try to recreate the old bug of overloading and it is being rumored that they were successful. The mods keep deleting the post that tells others how to fix the bug that is causing this to happen, and rightfully so since it is so exploitable. The point I make is that this bug involving our sabers has been here since the first day of CU and some of the Jedi have been asking for fixes to no avail.
