Yea, I'd have done it too. A guy shows up and tells me he's got a contract on me, I know I'm gonna run into him again sooner or later...might as well get it over with. Better a one-on-one when I'm buffed and ready than a surpise attack when I'm not.
One time a BH asked me to duel. He didn't have a mission on me, but had just never fought a jedi before. I agreed because I had 0 tracked deaths so what the hell.
It went back and forth; sometimes I had his ham down a good amount, and sometimes he had mine down a good amount.
Ultimately, it was the terrain negotiation that won. We ended up running all over, and since I had to chase him to keep him in range, he had control over what terrain we were in. Once he figured that out and headed for the hills, there was no way I could keep up and eventually I ran out of force and he kited me to incap.
He didn't db, though being on fire was starting to piss me off.
Oh, I already knew. This was long before the revamp when it happened though. I had forcerun, but my sabre ate up so much force I had to leave off running to have enough force to heal and still hit the guy.
I don't have force run now since the revamp, but I do have scout exploration and sabre throw...and my jedi is a master swordsman as well as a jedi.
So it would be a much different sort of battle now.

Yes i have run in to a few honorable jedi myself. Some of which i am friends with now even. 90% of every jedi mark that i try to attack while he is grinding (like you) his friends without fail will call me names and msot of all a NOOB. I love that one.
I have also run into jedi who have spit at me, laughed, trashtalked and what not. So you run into all kinds.
One Jedi mark i had, i was incapped by after a short fight, and he let me get up and walk away. He said he was a Jedi, not a murderer, and it is not of his nature to kill. (He was a light jedi roleplayer of course) But a very honorable and unique jedi. I am still friends with him today.

There are also a few BH's who are also quite honorable. I met one last night.
My guildmate and I were out last night, killing krayts, hoping to get some pearls. We were doing good killing krayts, but not finding any pearls, then a BH came for my guildie. SHe knew she couldn't win against the BH, so she did what she could by escaping, and successfully made it to safety.
The BH was persistant, tho, and tried to talk her out of the safe-house we had nearby. But knowing she would die, the Jedi chose to stay inside.
Well after a bit of talking and chatting with the BH (I was trying to RP, but she wasn't buying it), we finally came to an agreement. She had asked me to duel earlier, but I declined the challenge. But then after the chatting, I offered to duel her, with these conditions: If she wins the duel, she has the right to deathblow, with my blessing. If I win, I would not deathblow, but my guildie would get to live another day.
We dueled for a bit, and after an awesome fight, she bested me. I expected the DB, but instead she healed me, and dropped the guildie's mission anyway. Her response was "I am here for the fun, not the grief." And for that I truly commend her, soI tipped her 200k credits (right around the mission payout that my guildie was worth), and she was gone.
I will truly say, for a BH, she was a very respectable person, and that is what makes this game still worth playing.

This is true. I believe 90% of all BH's and Jedi's have a great deal of respect and honor for each other. It's that 10% that give everyone else a bad name. At the end of the day, we are all here to have fun and there should never be animosity between game players (and that's what we all are).

Oh man.. they had better not put in a /teabag command, i started laughing so hard at the mention of it. there are some people who just deserve it though.. (the ones who talk mad shi't and can't back it up)

The point is though, don't talk "mad sh!t" whether you can back it up or not. It's not needed in the game

Yeah, I always send a gg tell to anyone who kills me. If I'm killed (LD) or (AFK) or something, the worst I'll do is say "sorry I couldn't given you a better fight
" and leave it at that.
But I've been wondering lately, you who have the "messages to jedi" (like the guy who has the webpage of Jedi and hatetells) do you still send that crap to the Jedi like me?You say you do it to "all Jedi" or is it just the Jedi who deserve it?

i had a couple of real cool fights tonight. ive been mbh on mmy alt for about a week(no respec and i tell you that inv tree sucks!!) well i usually hit npc marks, but after making 15 mil off 3 i thought id play with pc for a bit. 1st mark i track to dant, ends up being friends of a jedi who killed me previously, so we fight a bit whe wins bu doesnt db, so i drop mission. nex i track for a bit and when i get in range theres a few jedi and they ask me who im there for(including my mark), i asked if they used the duel thin to see, and they said that they wouldnt use it, they like the surprise. so i attack my mark we have an ok fight but i lose. he doesnt db, i get up and drop his mission then we /t chat for a bit. i personally like the thrill of the hunt, i dont need the pay(almost 100 mil in the bank) so if they are cool i wont db, but occasionally you get the groupo who /pee /stomp /fart at you. i just report those ones. id say out of all my jedi fights 9/10 either win or lose we at least said good fight to each other, and most gave me tips on how to improve. the one negative i tracked to naboo and he was pvp, couldnt get the db so i tracked him to hi town, then he cloak attacked and ran and eventually killed me. so i get another mission and what do you know it was the same guy still pvp'n in theed, i killed im and he gave me alot of lipp about how i ganked him and i was the worst bh ever. you gotta take it both ways, but most of the time we have a nice hunt/duel and /bows afterword no matter the winner

The other day, I went out to do some jedi mission. I found my mark on Dantooine and went after it. When I showed up I engaged the jedi and soon noticed that another BH was already at work here. So after a 20 min fight, the jedis mind ran out and we finaly got her. Then the group members instantly start to trash talk (the usual, noob, you couldn't have done it alone etc), so I just drover off and kinda forgot the other BH (I made the db) so now I got hate tells from him too, heh. But he got really friendly once he got his money. So i decided to go get another mission and once again I found my mark on Dantooine. So I drove out to my mark and found the same group I had just left! I noticed who my mark was and as soon as everyone noticed me they threw all the bad words they could come up with at me and finaly the jedi walked up to me. So I had to win this one, just the image of how they acted when I won, I wouldn't want to see them if I lost. So we started the fight and after shooting a few rounds at him, I understood that this was going no where, as I had hit him for the grand total of 50 health dmg, but I didn't want to run or anything (I would have never heard the end of it) So I fought till I got incaped and survived that, the jedi usualy doesn't manage to db before I get back up and manage to heal myself to 50% again. But now my mind was all drained so I lost shortly after. Then came the laughing and what not. They were mostly cheering for the jedi, so I guess that one wasn't as bad as i expected.
So all in all, I think it's the group members that's usualy the bigest trash talkers, and not the jedis. I usualy end up sending tells with the jedi later and we become friends if not forever, then atleast has a friendly conversation. So I don't think the jedis are the ones making us think twice before grabing another missions. It would be the huge amount of trash talk you get from the jedis group through out the day
