Thread: 'Hunters: for the good of the game . . . Lay off the Paddies for the next few weeks . . .
Some people would refer to that as the inability to fight solo (made much worse with a jedi). The CU forces people to fight in groups, then punishes the jedi for doing it. No I'm not one of them, but they do have an incredibly hard time right now.
Level 70 Jedi padawan
Only about 10 of those levels are actual jedi skills
This means that when he whips out his saber, he is the equivilant of a level 10.
Unfortunatly, to get any exp, he has to kill level 70 things.
Quite a problem isn't it?
I was hunting today in a group when a bh came and killed ourfriendly jedi, depriving him of all the work he's done since the CU. It's a harsh time for them, just lay off a bit until your not brutally smashing someone's good time.

Force cloak doesn't make them untouchable...
It does if they have force infusion to back it up.

Is there an element of the "Upnerf" that somehow magically gives visibility to Jedi so they end up on the terminals even if they don't do anything to cause it?
Yes there is. It is the fact that the only practical way to gain experience now is by grouping. Solo play as a padawan is completely limited to gaining approximately 20-30k of exp per hour with a LS XX44 template. Just in case you don't quite get the significance of this it equates to several years of grinding to complete a full template. This is the Padawan equation: Grouping = Visibility = Death = Net Loss of Experience = Frustration = Cancelled Accounts. If the griefing and frustration of fellow gamers makes you happy then I really think you might need some counseling.
What's the visibility-giving range?

If you are hunting el cheapo missions just for thrills, at the very least do it solo. There is no reason a bounty hunter needs help for missions under 150k.
Unfinished template paddies have a very hard time right now getting ANY xp and staying off the terminals.
In a week or two, a balance pass will probably change things a bit in their favor, and all bets are off.
Does the big game hunter kill every elephant in the jungle? No, he only kills a few and lets the babies grow up so their worth fighting.

Interesting post...but I must disagree. Any of you on Corbantis know that there is in our future, on not too distant a horizon, when the Jedi will outnumber the regular profs. I don't think they belong in the first place. I mean anytime, day or night, you can go to Coronet, Theed, MO on Dant and see Jedi dueling. It's rather frustrating. So, no let up here.
QFE
Corbantis is getting overrun

All a paddie needs is force cloak and some healing skills and no BH can touch them anyway.
Force Cloak is a Tier IV ability. It's not something thatmany padawans will have until they are nearly fully templated. Force infusion is a Tier 1 ability, but there are several branches that need to be completed before that can be efficiently obtained. The focus of padawans is PVE, not PVP, so certain abilities are not prioritized highly until later in the grind. The only thing that 99% of all padawans want to do is to just get through the grind so that they can complete their template. It is the same mindset that any other profession has when grinding out a template.

Visibility is gained with the use of any force powers, or the equipping of robes or saber, within a 32m radius of another player or NPC. This makes it very difficult for group members to stay far enough away on a consistent basis to guarantee that a padawan doesn't get vis.
Exactly, it's 32m. And what's the maximum ranged weapon range (for rifles)? It's 64m. Carbines? 50m. The only possible problem I see is with the silly pistols range.
Difficult, maybe. But it most certainly does not make it impossible. A strategy mentioned in this thread , for example, seems very doable to me.

well they shouldn't be logging in until it is fixed. there are 150k and underJedi out there pwning ass as well. I am in a BH only guild and I think (not speaking for the others) I will only hunt the big game in groups until the paddies can grind again. was in my home town today and 6 paddies I know are dueling and showing off. I dueled one and he could handle me fine until another BH came along and opened fire. my friend was 50% force left and still killed the other BH after a good 10 minute fight. they aren't completely helpless but if they need fixing then why log in?
Ok did i misunderstand this post? Is someone actually suggesting that I shouldn't hunt low level jedi's? Interesting does that mean I can suggest Jedi's don't camp loot spots?
I find all you Jedi's on this forum funny, you loved it when you were worshipped my the masses as gods, and now you weak as sh1t you moan like my wife!!!
Theres more chance of hell freezing over before I stop hunting ANY Jedi which appears on the terms.
