Um, if I'm not mistaken, the sticky thread entitled New Jedi Archives (helpful posts) has a link for a Template Primer that has all sorts of template help in it.
Oh, and no matter how many stickies are made, people will still post threads ignoring those stickies.

Hi all,
I'm not too far on the old Jedi grind. Granted its been slowed down to a snail's pace by something called the "CU", anyone else heard of this bug/issue the devs are ignoring my cs tickets 
Any way, although it may take me the lifetime of a small mammal to now grind a full template there is no time like the present to start thinking about templates as I don't want to waste xp on a silly mistake.
Since I can't do much respecing I was hoping some kind people out there who have meddled with respec highend templates would like to post some ideas of final templates with a few notes as to why its good and what the bonuses with it are.

Dont bother grinding anything but 0003 enhancer its all you need to rule PVP against another jedi....../forceDrain: /pause 1; /macro drain; Go ahead and use this macro and target the red jedi....Then /cheer because you will win!

Hey guys, im between a rock and a hardplace, Im trying to decide a template before the respec period is over. Sohelp me out (and others), post some Non-Powerstemplates here, and their advantages/disadvantages.
I know, i know, theres about 100 posts like this but most turn into flame fests about nerfing some type of dicipline or something along that line, so please no flaming, I want this to be a constructive thread.

What are the current good templates for fighting BHs, and fighting other Jedi.
Any responses are greatly appreciated.

Hmmm,
This is what I was looking at, vs. Master Defender, Master LS, Healer novice, Enhancer 2002-with another third tier box somewhere.
Would everyone agree that Master LS, defender 4440, healer 4100 and enhancer 2004 is the best current template? (I'm far from getting there, but just now reaching the level where I am forced to give up my last remaining elite profession so I'm working on getting JUST the skills that will be my final template).
This gives up quite a bit of melee/ranged defenses, but has the benefit of being relatively self-sufficient. Good healing powers, ability to heal wounds without finding a doc, fair force run, and good force regen abilities...Looks like a pretty good suggestion to me.
Current skills: LS 0404, Enhancer 0002, Healer 2000, novice defender.

FS Skills = 24
MLS = 89
Def 4440 = 68
Heal 4100 = 36
Enh 2004 = 42
My trusty Windows calculator tell me this comes out to 259. Where do the other 9 skill points come from?

every template has its weaknesses. it just depends on what matters most to you.

healer 2000
enhancer 0003 is good for pvp .. if you never plan to pvp other jedi then go healer 3000 and enhancer 0002
the bottom line is you cant have it all. but 2 masters will make it hell on any bh i guarantee you that

I'm personally leaning towards:
MLS
4040 Defender
4004 Enhancer
3020 Healer
MLS for high DPS, Melee defense line + improved aura for defenses (no ranged because no BH will be able to strip aura, but a Mpowers jedi will be able to strip aura when force breach is fixed), Drain, Channel, Meditate, Improved Infusion and Healing, Improved Speed for even more DPS, plus the ability to haul ass. Oh, and the regen debuff for a little more fun.

msaber , def 4400 for inate armor damage reduction, enh 4004 for force speed faster attacks, heal 4100 for infusion plus wound heal and super heal, and if you gotta leave from the gank group, run2, its an all arounder
