So after patch had been live a couple weeks, in your openions so far whats been working the best template wise ?
I have yet to see a Master Force user, just all defenders and enhancers with master saber, and a bit of healing.
Also does ANYONE know how much force Total Heal takes ???

Light jedi:
Master Lightsaber
Master Defence
4040 enhancement
Dark Jedi:
Master Lightsaber
Master Forcepowers
4004 Defender
and before you start shouting that i have no heals and im ****ed in pvp because of that remember that i am never alone and always buffed for starters...and my light jedi is grouped with a master healer
and yes im going to have 2 jedi

I'm not a jedi, but since i pvp on a frequent basis, involving jedi too, and am going to be an avid publish 10 quester, I was wondering what some of the top Jedi PVPers templates are. Any help would be nice because I don't understand much of the jedi character builder information.

You're ****ed up in PvP with both templates due to not having Channel force and meditation. Can you explain me how you are using force powers without channel force and meditation?
Plus, depending on another player to heal yourself is a bit weird.
Any template withoutat least Master LS, Enhancer 2xx4 healer 3xx4 is ****ed up in PvP..I can assure you and prove you anytime in my server.
I have a very good 4th. gen. 10 Fc saber and still run out of force after 2-3 min. battles..

What is your reasoning behind 4040 enhance instead of 0404 enhance? With 0404 enhance you gain force armor2 you take even LESS dmg, and gain the powers of drain, channel, and meditate to help keep up your force in a battle. I havent even mentioned eating synsteak with this template, so youre taking even less dmg.
The passive resists and forcerun arent really that necessary with this template because you are a damn good tank with the enhance trees changed around. You could stock up on terrain neg CAs and use the burst run food if you had too.
edit: spelling

idle time at work, what do you expect
I was thinking, there are too many FOTM jedi. I have nothing against jedi (they are great for target practice) but this whole template thing kinda stinks!
I was thinking about how cool it would be if template potentials were assigned randomly. Much more star warsy! Like Corran Horn couldn't lift a feather with the force, but was awesome at mind tricks.
Now, you take that, and assign random potentials to each person when they unlock. Try and train something you cant have and receive a message 'you don't think you can handle the force in such a manner' or something.
It would sure mix things up a bit, as not everyone would be mls (yes, I am a ranged bh, but i still hunt), we would get powers, defenders, etc. A range of jedi instead of the same thign with different names.
I do understand there would have to be rules, to allow for instance, at least 1 mastery, I was thinking more like completly blocking certain trees: you just cannot channel the force to heal well, or you cannot handle a double bladed saber, etc.
Probably will never happen, just a cool idea I came up with here grinding the work xp to get a decent mission payout at the end of the week.

It would certainly add a layer complexity to Jedi, but I think that it's unlikely. Firstly, SOE has gone out of their way to make sure that everyone can play the game the way they (the player, not SOE) want to, and forcing certain disciplines of Force abilities on players, while more in-line with Star Wars lore, would not allow for the level of customization SOE would like to give people.
Races are not rolled with random stats, why should Jedi be?
I think the real tragedy is that both Jedi players and BH players are creating templates in the first place, designing their character around specific attacks, and so short of a few external appearances, you have a hundred identical Jedi and BH running around. Have fun with your character! Do something unqiue and interesting!
I'm close to Jedi, myself, and I've been thinking about what I'd like to do. Yes, Force Run would be helpful. Yes, Force Armor would be helpful. Yes, there are dozens of powers that would be useful, but not the way I want to play. I don't want my character to be useful in PvP and able to defend against a template stacker 3-0-0-0 BH, I want it to be interesting, a challenge, something worth playing. Not the same as everyone else out there.
Bottom line, it's the players that need to fix this, not SOE.

I am going MLS and master powers, my only choice left is either enhancer or defender. Yup, no healing
Cant find any defender dablers to see how effective say, 4004 would be, but I too hate fotm. I have forcerun now, but with all the melee bh out there.... need something to counter my anti-fotm I-hate-healers mindset. /shrug
I am your content, you are my content. Just here for fun since SOE wont give us much.
I am not good at flaming, so just pick your favorite hate-tell and pretend I sent it to you

Do you think we could get a sticky for this so that all Jedi Template Questions could be asked in this one thread. Then has people had questions they could read over what was already written? I think if new people saw a sticky devoted to it, we'd stop seeing the same Template questions 100 times, and this way the new people wouldn't even have to do a search for their answers.
