Why do BH's only hunt padawans?

Mainly because knights don't lose anything upon loss. Sure they lose XP, but it doesn't matter to a knight because his template is complete.

However, if you kill a paddie or any Jedi with an incomplete template, then a bounty hunter death stings them a bit more since they have to work to dig out of debt if they want to train up a box.

I think the new FRS should incorporate Jedi XP somehow such that a Knight with negative Jedi XP cannot be ranked. This would be more incentive for bounty hunters to go after full template knights.

kill the baby before it reaches adulthood.

break the spirit to grind and 1 less jedi master

easymoney for my new gun

so when they run i can use my rifle

cuz they sooooo scared

looking for money not a fight

why do you hunt jedi if you are a jedi?

i would not hunt bh if i was a jedi, i would be too busy pvp'ingother jedi to get my jedi ranking up if i was such a badass against jedi masters

lol anyway, what a question from a jedi

This is the exact reason why the servers are overrun with full template Jedi Knights -- too many bounty hunters, many of whom have a Jedi of their own, are too sympathetic to Jedi losing XP. Bounty Hunters who have Jedi alts are no true bounty hunters. Jedi are people who ate the forbidden fruit and now must pay for their sins with XP loss. All of them.

As a jedi myself, I could care less if someone kills me when I'm a Knight but it gets me fired up to die before that and have to regrind for the xp,,,,as it does most paddys.

beats being a powergaming d00d who just wants to pwn every1 without trying! lolz

Seriously. Dont generalize like that. It makes you look like a fool. Maybe some BH are in it to grief, but I doubt that its even close to half of them. Same as probably not all jedi are powergamers who just want to kill everyone.

(oh, and forgive my l33t speak. As you can see, I dont speak it.)

I have no alts, this game isn't one that easily facilitates them.

But as far as I'm concerned, I hunt Jedi, it's not, and never was, my job to make someone pay because they chose to do something that this video game allows, and encourages, them to do.

It's obsessive and, frankly, unbecoming.

No there are some bhs that actually go after full template or near full template jedi. The only bhs that go after week marks are the ones that are either too low or too scared to actually pic a good fight.

You may not consider it your job, but by game design it IS the job of the bounty hunter to inflict XP loss on Jedi to balance out the power they receive when they become full template -- and soon to be FRS. A full template knight is substantially more powerful than any other player character. It is the alpha PvP class that when controlled by someone who knows how to PvP can steamroll over any competition in PvP.

Anyone who thinks that there should not be some in-game mechanism to balance this Jedi power has a very myopic, naive view of the game and very little understanding of game balance.

There is also the fame from people respecting a bh that can actually beat high lvl jedi.

^^Exactly^^

And it bruises their ego....And if you get a rep of taking down some higher marks, people IMO start to get flustered when you open up on them, making marks from that point on easier to drop....If they get overly geeked, they are more likely to miss a heal, miss a KD recove etc.

*edit* The key to taking down any high end mark is stalking and picking the time to open up...Aside from Kash hunts, it is about standard procedure to follow a mark 1-2km out for at least 20minutes. I'm baned from so many player cities, usually by the time I land and ride to the area they are in, I already have a good 5-10mintues of stalking done.

Im a jedi and i have a bounty hunter, why do most bounty hunters only hunt padawans. On my jedi, i never get hunted, but when i grind i see padawans getting hunted all the time. On my BH, i only hunt knights, and bout 45% of the time i can manage a win. My guns arent legendary or anything, i just know wha to do. Why do all the other BH's not hunt knights?

because, they want a guaranteed kill so they can pat themselves on the back and brag about how many Jedi they killed and the mass numbers makes them feel "uber leet"... not the challenge of the hunt....

ah so you are in it to hurt other players, not for the credits or "thrill of the hunt."... Got it... just to tick other people off.

You are a complete moron. Bounty Hunting is a game mechanic that is meant to make becoming a jedi harder and longer.

Please don't post again. ITS PART OF STAR WARS BUDDY. I'm not sure you realised that butthe empire hired Bounty Hunters to kill all of the jedi.
