Thread: sneaky jedi dropped to the floor of the Web Weaver Path
yes exploits are exploits.
All People exploiting should be punished.
This however is more than likely a bug as I think 1 out of 3 times i go down the trails i end up on the floor, just from lag, and bad geometry.

I any case, whether the chances are so great or not, did you even read this:

I'll add to my story about the guy who was talking.... when I finally did head head out of the floor of the webweaver path... this "Friend" of the Jedi was standing next to me on the floor of the web weaver pathwhen he asked to deul me the second time. He was down there too... so the fact that this guy and his buddy both went down there, and then said what he said in the above highlighted text, provesthey had premeditated this as an escape route to avoid BH. So, I would consider what he did an exploit. Me following him down there.... was working around a BUG to complete my mission.

Luckily I know how to get down there too.once he exploited his way to the floor, i just burst ran while pushing on the edges of the paths.. eventually I dropped down to the floor of the path with him. I caught up to him and killed him in seconds. here is the best part shortly after the DB i get this message sent to me from the jedi's buddy:"I know where is hiding, duel me, if you win: you can have him, if you loose: you never hunt him again!"my response "he's dead"" I know where is>"so do I, I just killed him" a little slow i guess"well duel me any way, i want to see what it takes to kill a jedi""nah""come on, if I win you can never hunt him again""nah" seriosly.. what kind of challenge is that?how come I get more grief from Jedi Fanbois than I do from the jedi I just killed?
So, you used an exploit because he did?
no wonder this game is going down the tubes.....
SWG had her tubes tied... and I'd follow him too, not like anyone does anyting about the endless bugs in this game or like anyone cares lol. It's true.

Wow you got some easy kills in ... It does amaze me that anyone would AFK grind jedi ... and clearly they got what they have coming for it.
As I said 6 of my group of 8 fell through. I never did, and I have been up and down the trail many times. I suspect there is more involved than just running, but I think that is clearly part of the picture, and for sure it doesn't have to be intentional.
Yes I did read that, but what one person says, hardly means that an act by another person was intentional. I for one know better than to trust every stupid tell I get from Jedi and their guildies as being sincere. You have been a BH for a year now. Certainly you have also figured out that they and their friends will occasionally attempt deception and trickery to try to avoid you. I have figured that out and I have only been a BH since the CU, but then again, you may not have experienced this (I prefer to hunt non-afk marks).
Get over it.
Not everyone exploits.
If you want to believe that Jedi are beyond exploiting, go right ahead. I have better things to do than convince you.
Shouldn't you be more concerned about real exploits like the NO-LOS abuse on the trail?

Are SWG players nuts, or arewe just Arses?
Lemi, I don't mean to single you out, but your post is typical of something that has been bugging me more and more lately. It has to do with a screwy mindset that people getabout the game.
It seems like practically every jediaccuses BH of exploiting and practically every BH accuses every jedi of exploiting.
People used to scream exploit all the time about tactics used in the GCW, but now that BH vs Jedi is the new game, this is where everyone comes to scream about it. Granted, BH and Jedi are adversarial roles, just as Imperial and Rebel are, but that doesn't mean we can't all play the game to its fullest and have a good time without constantly crying "EXPLOITER!" at every turn.
In your initial post you said:

that is a good point.... I dont think I have ever made it through the webweaver path without dropping to the floor!!!
so you acknowledge that the map on that portion of the trail is so buggy that you yourself can't make it from one end to the other without doing exactly what you are calling an exploit?!
And everyone here isprattling on about whether it is wrong to use this exploit? It's not an exploit, people. It's a stupid game bug, and it isn't something you use intentionally, it's something that happens to you, esp. when you are burst running or force running.
People are waaaay to quick to scream "EXPLOIT!"
How about instead of accusing your opponent of exploiting, when you already know that this is a serious game bug, that is practically unavoidable, you instead take the time to file a /bug reportand see if we can't get SOE to fix their product.
Since we all know that /report ing people to CSR does nothing, why not /bug the problem instead of /reporting the player. Maybe we could accomplish something.

I know it's possible - but honestly:
What are the chances of the Jedi suddenly getting the bug at the exact moment his hunter shows up?

Well, Lemy says that all it takes is burst running ... what are the chances of a Jedi who is trying to escape burst running or forcerunning ...
I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of 90% maybe.
I went onto the path Saturday night with a full group of eight heading down to the bottom level to help a guildie get the trail badge and kill Gotals. By the time we got halfway down the path 6 out of 8 people had fallen through to the floor and none of us were trying to.
