Luckily I know how to get down there too.
once he exploited his way to the floor, i just burst ran while pushing on the edges of the paths.. eventually I dropped down to the floor of the path with him. I caught up to him and killed him in seconds. here is the best part shortly after the DB i get this message sent to me from the jedi's buddy:
"I know where is hiding, duel me, if you win: you can have him, if you loose: you never hunt him again!"
my response "he's dead"
" I know where is>
"so do I, I just killed him" a little slow i guess
"well duel me any way, i want to see what it takes to kill a jedi"
"nah"
"come on, if I win you can never hunt him again"
"nah" seriosly.. what kind of challenge is that?
how come I get more grief from Jedi Fanbois than I do from the jedi I just killed?
So, you used an exploit because he did?
no wonder this game is going down the tubes.....

dumb question but. How do you get down there?
I've helped plenty of people to kill the Katarn, 9 out of 10 times most of the group will end up falling to the ground, would be nice if we could avoid it happening all the bloody time
that is a good point.... I dont think I have ever made it through the webweaver path without dropping to the floor!!!
usually it happens when burst running... probly the server can't keep up with your location and you warp a few meters off the path.
Why should we as BH's (supposedly the underhand types anyway) refuse to beat them at their own game? If we are tracking them and they go down to the floor, why should we loose our chance and stay on the path. Same goes for any option we have, if they exploit a bug, why can't we use it against them. If they complain to the CSR, they'll ask what the jedi was doing there in the first place...

/agree .. thanks for replying exactllywhat i was thinking when it happened.
there is no reason for me as a BH to go down there... every time i have been down there it was a pain .. causing my group heading to the Shadowd lands to get seperated. Its no an exploit to US... its only and exploit for the JEDI.

Wrong !!
It's an exploit where a player is able to gain an advantage others can not experiance by intended game mechanics. Being that BOTH of you were down there it could/should not be deemed an exploit when relating to your desribed occurance.
However, if any player is using it to skirt the system and "cheat", thus gaining an advantage others are not able to enjoy through intended game mechanics, it would be an exploit.

Although it is an exploit for either to do it, since both the BH and the jedi knew how to use it, it sort of falls under tactics at this point. I certainly wouldnt begrudge the BH following himsincethe Jedi was way out of bounds to do it in the first place.
i was in the trails the other day doing quests with my friend.
He burtran down the path.
On my screen it looked like he started running against the side all teh way down one of the legs.
I asked him what he was doing and he told me that he was way ahead of me, and almost to the end.
Then he got warped to the floor.
More than likely this is what you experienced. It probably seemed like he was exploiting due to the fact that he was running against the wall. I think what we are seeing here is server side lag, and a not completly stable client.

Are you sure he did it on purpose? The only time it happened to me I had know idea what or how it happened but now that I read this thread I can see it was probably because I was burst running. oh and thanks for that tip. Hahahah So can you all tell me the answer to another question I have? What profession doesn't exploit?
Well TBH Professions dont exploit, people do. It is never the profession just the player behind the toon that makes those decisions. It is just sad in this game that "small" exploits get overlooked, while "big" ones get all the attention. Exploits are exploits, anyone using them is a cheater in my book, whether you are a chef or a jedi.
