Ok how are we new jedi padawans supposed to advance. I can't solo because creatures my level kill me. I need to hunt in a group so then I get on the terms. Every time I make progress with xp so High level bounty hunter comes along and kills me. I got hit 4 times in one day. It is not even fun to play because i can't play because the bh's are always killing me setting me back to square one. They really need to change the system bad. Jedi padawans who reached this level after the cu will never advance. Did anyone hear if they are going to change this. If so please e-mail me and LMK [email protected]

My jedi character has LS 0/0/4/3, force heal 1/0/0/0, force defence 0/1/0/0.

My jedi character couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper bag!

The visibility system jedi are being forced to use, was designed around players training their jedi solo. Problem is that it's a pre-CU system of visibility that's being used in a post-CU combat enviroment where weak padawan jedi must group with other players and get massive visibility. Yes. It's not fair and it's unballanced, but it just happens to be a perfect way for the dev's to manage the jedi population by making so it's now very hard to for complete your jedi template. This means fewer jedi knights in the game.

Join a Group on the Wookie Planet...Plenty of up and commers there, just don't go afk grinding, as we BH's love that. The amount of exp you gain in a group is typically worth the risk of vis. Just plant a House nearby if not on wookie planet. And Don't drop all your old skills to advance faster..unless your willing to accept CL 80 hunters comming for you, b/c you'd be any easy kill at that point.

You'll be getting Double Exp for the next weeek abouts, so best time for it.

Oh, yeah.../say "typical banter about it not suppose to be easy".

If your on Lowca ...mabye We will run into one another.

I *seriously* doubt the devs INTENDED for low-level padawans to be ganked several times a daily, and you honestly think that you need your head examined. Now while the devs *did* originally say the visability system post-cu is working as intended, they've also confirmed that they're looking into revamping it in a future publish, probably tying together with the new FRS.

All I can say is log on during non-peak hours and grind as much as you can during double-xp week.

My character is a weak level 73 padawan and at the moment, there's 2 master bounty hunters hunting him. Wether they are lamer re-spec MBH or not, is not the issue. What is the issue is that there are a lot of master bounty hunters who just hate jedi so much that they specificly target low level padawan. This is an issue the development team has refused to address, once again.... it's to make it very hard to complete your jedi template.

What the heck are you talking about?! The devs have said on several occassions since the FanFest about revamping the visability system *AND* removing the Jedi's name/reward from the list, listing only their known faction. I doubt it'll be quite that simple, but it's proof enough that the devs ARE conserned about visability post-CU and refuse to let it continue like this.

I hope they do make the Vis changes soon to remove the character name from the terms

Had the same BH get me 3 times in 2 days just because he knows im an easy kill right now

Starting to wish i had given in and used respec to get a full template....oh well....another kick in the teeth for someone playing the game the way SOE tell me to.

Be very careful when taking advice like this. Unless you know you have a reliable group of people that's onlinedaily, then your more screwed if you train with a group.

As far as making 100k-200k xp per hour, don't buy into this. While some people have done it, its not as common as you think. I was with a 7 player group on the Avatar space platform. All the players in this group were masters in atleast one elite combat profession, and I didn't even come close to 100k jedi xp in an hour!

First of all, not all BH Respec's are lamers....Just like not all Jedi Respec's are sploiters.

CL 73 is sufficent enough to defend, and even kill BH's I know from the many fights I have had with you guys. As it is now...Just as you are new to Jedi, many are new to Bounty Hunter...You have to Learn the Profession before going after the Bigger game. Asides..Higher CL Jedi are Generally not worth the effort as our chances diminish greatly to beat them. I am doing it for the Fun and Money..and Choose 90-120K marks on Average as it is optimal for my Skill.

It really isn't suppose to be easy to get a Finished template either. As I said before, Group up, and grind like mad. If you pay attention, you will have no problems with BH's as you can jet out of there, or have a buddy bust out a Speed and sport you away.

Why shouldI care about what the devs sayduring FandFest ?

Before the CU, the devs asked our jedi professions corespondent SONGUKI and the veteran jedi players, to help test the changes on TC's, and suggest new idea's. The dev's didn't listen to one idea that SONGUKI or the jedi veterans suggested to the dev's. SONGUKI was so upest with SOE and it's dev's that he resigned as the jedi professions corespondent!

In the entire time I've been playing this game since it's launch, I had never seen a professions corespondent who worked so hard and was so dedicated as SONGUKI.

So why the heck should I believe what the dev's say at a dumb swg FanFest?

Um.. do you smoke dope? Your character is a high level padawan. You character can deal damage if attacked by a BH. My character can't do any damage, and with pub 19, I'll be nerfed again!

I do agree that not all MBH are jerks. I would be the first person to tell you that some of the best people I have met in swg are MBH, however, this doesn't mean that there isn't a huge problem with MBH going after low paying missions because they hate jedi players with a passion. Heck, one MBH thats hunting me said that jedi players have big ego's!

Here's a little bit of info that might intrest you.

Remember when the holo grind was removed and the FS village added? That idea was the idea of Lucas Arts. George Lucas wanted to see more jedi in the game, so he wanted a new system of unlocking jedi. SOE was very opposed to this idea, but Lucas Arts won out and changes were made.

2 months later a high level executive, in an interview on SWG stratic, complained that jedi was too easy to get with in the game.

How did I get this informationabout George Lucas wanting more jedi in the game? I had a friend on the server I play who works for LFL (Lucas Films and Licensing), who just happened to have a good friend who worked in the PR department of Lucas Arts.

SOE does not like jedi and is hostile to jedi being in the game. When SWG was in it's design stages, SOE was even opposed to there being a jedi profession in the game. Once again it was Lucas Arts that won the decision.

Actually my character is a High Level Bounty Hunter...No Jedi here.

For low level padawans It is of course best to run...But fighting is also an option. I was beaten by a CL 66 Wookie Padawan. It was a longish fight. But he wore me down to nothing between His heals and 200 ish damage.

Now I do agree Pub 19 will fix/ break the heal part (depends on which side of the fence you are on) But fighting back is a choice. I know as a Fact I would run.

But in any case, Keep enough skill points in regualr professionstill you need those points. It will giveyou a better chance against Bounty Hunters. You can also use a Decent non-cert rifle as well...many a Jedi has foiled my attacks by using that tactic. TK is also nice to use for the Armor/ Defence you would get as well.
