Personally, I disagree with the 250k, and the 500k. These are prices for Jedi, not other players, you know? I mean, it wouldn't be very hard at all compared to a Jedi to kill another player.

Also, the person posting the bounty would pay up-front to the terminal, then if the Bounty Hunter is successful, he collects, if the other person succeeds in killing the Bounty Hunter, than he get's the money (As stated by me, I mean, this isn't necessarily set in stone or anything ).

there are some elite prof people that can take down almost anyone just cause they have good armor or clothing and pvp skills so some should be worth more then jedi

oh shut up about griefing, i bet you, like everyone else, brags about how strong they are, well this will add a new element to the game, and make you put up or shut up, just like everyone else

Think about it. Do you REALLY want a system where someone can, say, put a bounty on a CL1 Entertainer? Or a noob fresh out of the tutorial? Or maybe a crafter... it's absurd.

Plus, you could put it up there for a unique amount, and have your friend (standing next to you at the terms) just look for that particular payout (for example, 111k or something odd). Then he gives you back your money once he's done killing some Entertainer, crafter, noob, etc.

Yeah, it really does prove how strong you are when you wipe out a cantina full of Ents. I could think of no better way to show it than that.

Very true.

Not sure how it would be possible to distinguish this though. Maybe a 250-500k minimum would be in order.

I guess it would also add to the emphasis of wanting this player dead, and not making it so anyone could post bounties.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas on what should happen to the player-killed, or in some cases, the Bounty Hunter-killed?

Also a VERY valid point. It could be difficult to distinguish this as well.

Possibly add a system as to where there would need to be at least one Master profession on the Hunted player (CL 34 or something, I believe, don't take my word on that though)?

Sorry to say it but this is not an original idea. Basically it was discussed durring beta and a bit after beta testing.

SOE had announced back then that they cannot put in a player bounty system that players can place on other players due to the possability of grieving someone to the point of quitting!

So as much as you wish to say... SHUT UP, the guy has a very valid point and discussing this further is only a wet dream that every bounty hunter had durring beta testing including myself.

It will never ever happen..... Unless they can pull this off by some miricle!

Even the smugglers werevolunteers to become our prey to get a better starwars feel to the game.... the request was denied!Instead they are placing NPC bounty hunters to hunt them in the up and coming smuggler revamp that was supposed to happen this year some time. But we are in September already.....

if the bh loses the person who put up the bounty should get penalized and nothing to the victim if they die cause its not like they are doing anyhting wrong like getting vis and if you put vis on crafting etc etc then this game would suck hwo would ents give buffs how would docs heal wounds etc

To SpecWar1's post:

We could possibly up the time between available Bounty-placings on one player to one month, instead of three days? I guess I could understand how this could be griefing (Which I, personally, find very stupid and immature - but hey, there's something for everyone, right?).

Perhaps we COULD implement a visibility system. Though, I'm not quite sure how this could work.

Or, we could simply fix this by making it so nobody with a Master Non-Combat Profession could have a bounty placed on them.

I'm not sure, hehe. Brainstorm!

I like the "vis on crafting" idea.
