Well I have never ran, but...


The answer is simple


The Jedi gains NOTHING i fhe wins the contest

The only thing the BH loses if he is killed is a failed mission

The Jedi loses XP if he loses the fight


To put it plain and simple there is no incentive for the Jedi to fight a BH at all. If there is on incentive why risk it.

hell i used to run my buttocks off. I didnt see any point in giving away 300k in xp just because a level 80 BH... or 2, decided to pck on a level 58 padawan. So if i could get away, dang right i was scootin'.


However now i am faced with a paradox. Now that i am finished template, I cant get a BH to come after me at all... its all rather disapointing. All this time I heard BH bragging about how it wasnt about the credits for a jedi kill it was about some delusional mission to cull the Jedi population. Yet now with the nice loot BH missions are dropping ( and dont you think for a second that the devs didnt plan that in order to distract you from Jedi bounties), BH are neglecting their pagan right to harrass the jedi population.. and frankly, it's left me a bit bored. I sometimes camp out just WAITING for a BH to come play... but always, stood up, I am.


Where the heck is your Moral obligation NOW?! You are dramatically interfering with my gameplay by not coming after me. Stop griefing me already and go get my Mission!

Umm... Is this "shortbus" real simple? Your comment makes no sence. A Jedi wants to survive and runs and exactly how does thatjustify corny excuses. This thread is about corny excuses notthe reason why they are running. Several BH have already established that ifa Jedi gets away then they get away. That is not the topic here; we already know why Jedi run.

This thread has taken an interesting turn. It was not meant as a complaint about Jedi running....I don't blame them at all for running. I would do the same thing in their situation. This thread was meant to show how humorous some of their excuses are when they do run. "Sorry for running, had some bofa treats in the oven the the timer was going off...."

Its funny how Jeditalk alotof smackonly when their 1.5 times stronger character is fully templated. Where were before becoming a fully temp Knight oh that's right on the run or hiding in houses. The whining about Jedi not gaining anything for killing BH is BS. The price you pay for attempting to have an overpowring character is you will be hunted. You can run but you can't hide sooner or later one of us will get you. I always say kick'em when their down.


I know that in the back of Jedi's mind is always the possiblity that one of us will get them. When and where is the question.

I haven't ran from any of the battles i've had yet, and some of those things you call excuses are true. a Jedi being at 25% force, when you catch them in the middle of doing a mission is highly possible. Then again, any jedi without a holocron deserves that death.


I mean honestly.. can you complain and be "humurous" about Jedi, running away, because they have something to lose, nothing to gain. Where's the thread about all the wuss BH's, that run away.. oops.. wait, you guys call that kiting..

Now you might ask yourself if the Jedi was a full template or not.I bet he was no way near finished when you attacked him.Otherwise he'd have known there is little to nothing to fear from a BH (if you know how to play your template)

On my BH i heard stuff from jedi like: I can't fight now if you let me go i'll let you db me in 15mins of course if you actually are stupid enough to let them they fr into the distance and vanish in a LD.


On my jedi get interesting ones from BH though too best one so far was: "I ran from you because there was a dueling bug and i thought you were an npc....."

And again, it's because the Jedi has nothing to gain from fighting a BH except a waste of their time, and if they're not fully templated they lose xp.


Hell, even fully templated Jedi bank xp in case they ever want to change templates.


It's not sad for a Jedi to run from a BH. It makes perfect sense.


Personally, I find the people who stand around and let BH even get one shot in on 'em to be the ones who are sad...why even bother? You have nothing to gain and everything to lose - just deny content from the BH's, and save yourself the effort.
