Thread: Cancelled account
Well, just cancelled my account also.
The problem with this game is that it is more of a lifestyle than something you can play a bit and set aside.
The Jedi system is also the icing on the cake for me. Considering I put about 10 hours of game time into finding my first holocron...and having none drop.
Been playing since day one, had good times and bad, but the game has worn out it's enjoyability for me. More than likely it is because I could get very few of my RL friends to plunk down $65 to play 2 months or stick around after that.
The PA I joined last month with 30 members has dwindled to maybe 1 active player at the times I play.
So, going to move on to greener pastures and play some simulations and a shooter or two for a few months.
some people need to vent their reasoning.. some might seek (compliance) as in.. other seeing the way they do... if people quit quietly.. then they will never know if other think the same way...
some may feel that venting the reason for quitting might "persuade" the devs to change their ways... actually I just read the interview.. they might change the requirement for Jedi as more get their slot (thus more mysteries of opening their slot)
Some might seek "compassion" by telling them not to quit.. or stay longer.. who knows.. each person is different
I disagree. The devs keep a close eye on subscription numbers. There is no need to let them know you are quiting. They know.

I care.
This is just one less player on already slim server populations. When you gyus dont have anyone healing your wounds or helping you group hard missions, come back to these forums and re-read all the post stating, you dont care. Leave dont let the door hit you on the way out.
It boggles the mind that these are the same people that say "Player Interaction" when hard-core gamers claim they really have nothing else to do. Player interaction? With unhappy peole that are on the verge of quitting. They just log on the pay maint in hopes the game will improve in a month.
Lets me tell you something about player interaction.
Im a social miscreant. I dont like to chat, I dont like to email. I barely call my folks. I dont want to sit in a cantina and talk to Pooflinger Mcgee about the Raiders. I dont care. I want to kill things and if I need a group fine. I'll talk about mission related stuff. Ill talk about how these bloody foaming vynocks used to grief me. Other than that. Im silent. I like it that way. Its how I play the game. I like online play because people are smarted than bots, and unpredictable. Results are often funny. I DONT LIKE CHAT ROOMS. (aka guild chat)
Player Interaction.
How many players will you have when they all leave?
Another Jedi wanabee bites the dust.
Just remember what Yoda said, a Jedi does not crave adventure and excitement, being a jedi requires the most serious mind and deep commitment. You are obviously not cut out to be a Jedi you want it quick and easy...
Dont let the logout screen hit you on the way out, I got master Chef as well and you can bet I'll be sandwhich making jedi.

Its a psychological thing....., the reason he's coming here to post that he's leaving is so he can hopefully get people to post that they agree with him and are quitting too, weather he wants to admitt or or not.
He's looking for reassurance that he made a good decision..and it doesnt look like he's getting it, which I'm sure is very upsetting to him deep down.It matters to him what others think, for why else would someone post they are quitting if they didnt care what others thought.
Also there is a bitterness in there somewhere he's not mentioning, he may have lost one too many duels or been KS'ed a few times and would love to blame his own impotence and falacieson SOE. By posting he's quitting he's hoping he can 'get back' at SOE by causing others to quit, once again though his efforts are rebunked as most would simply like to know if they can have his stuff before he quits, otherwise good by and good night poor soul....
How does it feel over there in that lonely dark dank corner Abdar?
