Thread: New Combat System/Class structure Confirmed! Live in 3 weeks!
combined with Force Sensitive/Jedi mean that they are going to open up multiple character slots on the servers for everyone now?
Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Commando, Medic, Force Sensitive, Officer (think SL), Tradesman, Entertainer, Spy. Poli and Pilot will remain unchanged
I can't believe Jedi is really going to be a starting profession. Somebody on the swg.vault.ign forums has tested the game.
This is going to be very very very interesting to say the least. Just when I almost Mastered Bounty Hunter too. It's funny I was just getting used to the changes. I only played for one month last year and I came back just a little over a month ago. Now I'll haveto get used to the new changes they are about to implement.

With this new system which needs much clarification. Is that there are only 9 classes or are those classes going to be left alone. The great thing about SWG is that we can create so many different templates. It was the diversity of skills that was so appealing. Just like Ultima Online, there wasn’t a cookie cutter profession, just make a character and learn what skills you want.
My Main Character is a force sensitive Bounty Hunter. I have 24 skill points in force sensitivity so I can have an extra character. My second character is a master smuggler, master commander. I really don’t want to be a jedi as in this time period there wasn’t many left. Now there were people that were force sensitive but never became jedi due to no jedi masters around to train them and the empire had banned jedi from the galaxy. So role playing as a bounty hunter that is force sensitive is great and in keeping with the timeline. Alot of diversty in this game at the moment.
So when this new system rolls out, would I have to give up being force sensitive to continue to be a bounty hunter? Would I lose my second character if I did this? Would any new player just log on, create a character and choose to be force sensitive from the beginning?
I been playing since launch and know a lot of jedis who been here from the beginning. They holo-grinded and/or did the village quests/grind and became jedi. Took a long time for them, a lot of hours of game time. Is SOE going to slap them in the face and say, sorry about that, u can make a jedi now from the beginning and no longer have to quest and grind for it.
Are Bounty hunters still going to be able to hunt jedi? Is there still going to be experience loss for jedi? What happens to pistoleers, carbineers, and rifleman? Are jedi going to be cookie cutters. I mean the great thing about jedi was that they had 5 skill sets to choose from, defender, lightsaber, powers, enhancer, and healer. There are some many different combination of jedi skills. Are they now going to be changed to a cookie cutter profession? Is Bounty hunter going to be a cookie cutter?
Im a bounty hunter and different from most as I am a padawan bounty hunter with pistoleer and medic skills. Not the normal BH template that u see out there. I like diversity, don’t destroy that. This is socialism at the expense of individualism in a game.
