Lets use a 530-1184 Laser Rifle for this example.


Versus Master Defender:

First Aura is factored in and lets go to the extreme and say that it works perfectly and reduces the Laser Rifles damage to the minimum.

Advanced Critical Shot has a 1.9 damage multiplier. This means the raw shot is 1007 damage. Apply 30% PvP reduction and we start with a shot of 704 damage.


With PSG:

A good PSG has around 2500 protection, which is around 20% mitigation. 704 becomes 563 damage.

Next it has to go through armor, which at Master Defender is 7000. This gives about 55% further mitigation. 563 becomes 253 damage.


Without PSG:

The only mitigation is armor, which as mentioned at MAster Defender gives roughly 55% mitigation. 704 becomes 352 damage.




Versus someone with no Defender and 0400 Enhancer instead:

No aura and no melee/ranged defence, so we will be using the rifles maximum damage as the starting figure. Initial shot is 2249 damage (1184 * 1.9). Apply PvP 30% reduction and we start with 1574 damage.


With PSG:

A good PSG has around 2500 protection, which is around 20% mitigation. 1574 becomes 1259.

Next it has to go through armor, which at Enhancer 0400 is 6000. This gives about 50% further mitigation. 1259 becomes 629 damage.


Without PSG:

The only mitigation is armor, which as mentioned at Enhancer 0400 gives roughly 50% mitigation. 1574 becomes 787 damage.



In the case of the Master Defender, the PSG is only reducing damage by an additional 99 points.

I wanted to use my DE-10 but they suck agaist Jedi so i had to get another gun that was kenetic, and now my dmg is just fine... but i still have a range of 35m


My jedi i dont even use a psg...i use a belt with +25 melee def +25 ranged def... I never have a problem with BH' s it not the PSG's its energy weapons + PSG' s just dont use them problem solved if that mean you cant use the adv Laser rifle so be it... I cant use my DE-10 and I want to...

Let me see if I have this straight.. you want to nerf already nerfed-half-to-death Jedi, because you don't feel BH's should be FotM'd. You think someone who has spent all those skillpoints and all that xp on Master Defender shouldn't actually be able to defend themselves against weapons that have the lowest SAC, because you don't want to learn how to manage your HAM costs. Did I get it right? Do I get a cookie?


If you think Jedi are way too powerful now, you should have tried taking one on pre-CU, before you respec'd to MBH.

Hate to break it to you, Rifleman/BH are useless to my defender anyways, I beat them every time.
