I was hoping someone could explain to me how the PvP applies when ppl are TEF'd. Tonight, there was a TEF'd Imp that approached myself and a friend, who were also TEF'd. We could not get an attack option on him, and all of a sudden he attacked my friend. I healed my friend, reassuring that I was TEF'd, yet still could not attack him. Then after he DB'd my friend, he then attacked me. Of course with him getting the first hit it was downhill from there, but I would not mind losing a fight if it werent for the fact that I just simply could not attack him, and had to basically wait to get hit before I could even respond. Again, none of us were overt, just covert with a TEF. Can anyone explain this to me? Or better yet, the rules for PvP when TEF's are involved? Thank You!!

If your Imperial and tef'd then you get free reign and can fight without fear of return fire. This is done on purpose as this game caters to Imps

That's exactly how it works. If you have a TEF then you are open to be attacked, but cannot attack until attacked. Best way to avoid this, is to be overt if you're doing anything that gives you a TEF, then you can target overts and enemies w/ TEF's.

That doesnt make sense b/c the guy that attacked us was only TEF'd, not overt. If you cant attack while TEF'd, then why was he able to attack us? The "IMP" thing stated above isnt true, is it?

Imperial's have the initiative strike if both sides are TEF'd.

Why the heck would the Imperials have the initial strike? Thats kind of a stupid rule to slip in just for the effect of giving the Imperials the advantage in-game, they already have most advantages, I dont think they need another when it comes to who can hit first, when the first strike wins the fight half the time. Stupid rule imho.

I think he was being sarcastic...about the imp first strike ( I've never heard of it but ya never know).....i think. You don't know if he is TEF'ed. If he was tef'd to you, you would be able to atack him. More than likly HE was tef'ed to your buddy...who attacked first....thereby denying you the ability to strike. If your bud had waited untill he was shot at...then (if you where grouped) you would be able to attack him.
The only time you can attack TEF's is when you are overt, or that character has a tef from/on/of/whatever you.
And if you are gonna do anything that might give you a tef...just go overt..lest then you can see teh reds comming and can run/fight/playdead.

If you friend was being attacked, send he a group request. If he accepts, then you get group tef and can attack the imp. I've done this twice in startports and died both times. Never attack someone with a novice title, he could be a commando and will flame your ass.

If a jedi adds the BH and his friends that just killed him to his /consent list after he clones, will that group get a TEF (since TEF can last up to an hour after mission is completed)?
What if the jedi who has gotten himself on the terminals gives /consent to everyone he knows is a BH, will they also get a TEF?

/consent does not equate to /group, I dont think anyway. So, if that BH were not in your group, they would not be affected by the G-tef.

If SOE does not want us to corpse camp to force the XP loss then why the rezz tef.
My alt is a MD and I will not rezz any jedi, even guildies. They know it and dont have a problem with it. We are supposed to be the population control. That is why the tef.
