I've already informed my guild not to email me any no-hunt lists if names are removed from the terms.

If I track a guy for 30 minutes to get to him, I'm not gonna check his real name against any list.

As an Imperial Officer, if you were an Imperial soldier and you shot and killed a fellow soldier, I wouldn't care whether it was "just business" or "you just hunting a mark", I would haveyou taken out and shot by firing squad right then and there. After all, that is my job....I'm just doing my business.

BHs that hunt same faction are spies and should be shot on sight.

See,two can play the "I'm just doing my job" game.

Now that being said, I think the new system is putting all of us BHs in a bind. I see their point and undestand why they would want to do this, but hoped it would never happen.

As an Imperial Officer, if you were one, you would know that ALL jedi are to betreated as enemies of the Empire. Jedi are KOS. Killing Jedi would get you a medal, not a firing squad.

All jedi? Shows how little you know of your own Empire. The Emperor uses jedi to do his bidding. It is his and only his right to deal with jedi. He does not higher Bounty Hunters do deal with them. It was the jedi of the council that tried to overthrow him, and it was the Imperial Military he used to deal with them, not Bounty Hunters.

A Rebel agent putting a bounty on an Imperial officer and then an Imperial soldier going and killing that officer....is nothing but treason and murder. If they are a jedi, then it is for the Emperor to deal with in his own way, not for some gun slinging, two timing, backstabber, embarassment to the Empire to deal out justice.

As in any organization, order must be maintained. If we let ever Imperial BH go around shooting whoever they thought was a jedi, we would have corruption. We would have people doing it for thier own good, not the Emperor's. No, you do not hunt them for the Empire. What you do is weaken the Empire. No Imperial that weakens the Empire is going to get a medal. Not by along shot.

I wont even go into the political ramifications from an Imperial BH killing an Overt Jedi that is engaged in combat against rebels at the time of the attack. No, such a BH would have no right to his rank, nor his life.

Dude have you ever read some of the Jedi Missions? "Restore Imperial Order" Read some of the descriptions, "The Empire has no need for Jedi" Get your head out of your banthas rear and wake up to that fact. The Empire sees are jedis as criminals. Crimianls of the Empire will be delt with!

While I dont have the link, Blixtev informed ...someone....that the way the terms will show is' Rebel Jedi, or Imperial Jedi or, and these are his words, Neutral jedi (which I didnt know even existed.)

Taking it a step further. Why are there any Imperial jedi? What the heck are they thinking? The Empire certainly didn't won't more after Sidious took so much time and effort to have them all wiped out or sent in Hiding. Just another in the string of " We have no idea what the heck we are doing in regards to star wars continuity" from this development team.

In my opinion: This game is ruined from many aspects. This game needs a big whack with a creativity stick (not another nerf bat Many of the things that are supposed to be "fun" are broken to the point of making them only frustrating and annoying. The dev's don't bother sharing their vision of the game with us anymore, and it certainly isn't the shared vision of the original developers. Will they fix the game? There is nothing in their history (SOE) that says that they will. If they devoted as much manpower to this as Everquest or Everquest 2, then things would certainly improve. But because they screwed this game from the get-go, and have certainly realized that by now, don't expect this game to get much better. I know I don't anymore.

I replied to the thread title, and faction-wise it will still be an option. The only thing that wont work anymore as easily are the "hunt" / "dont hunt" lists for individual names.

I am Imperial. Even though I have MBH, from an RP perspective, I am a specialized Imperial officer tasked with the roundup and elimination of of the remaining Jedi Threat. I have been granted powers that far exceed the standard soldier and access to weapons and tools that allow me to adequately do my job.

Since the movies and the books show that the Empire has never put a contract out on a jedi in that fashion, it is clear that it is a fraud, and likely put in the system by the Hutts or the Rebels. Only the weak minded, those that are not truley familiar with the Empire would be so easily fooled.

I think you are the one that has no idea. The Emperor personally trained a good number of Imperial agents in the force. They were called Dark Hands. Mara Jade was one of them. All received training in the force and how to use it. The old RP books even allowed for it, and never had the Empire hunting them that I read. Instead some of them even back in the source books were again agents for the Empire. The stand the Emperor takes on this is that f they join him, they have a use. If they stay out of the conflict or join the Rebels, they are a threat and to be eliminated. The Emperor is no fool. He would not kill a jedi that was willing to serve him. At least not while he could benefit from the jedi's abilities to handle problems. After all, Vader wasn't going to be around forever.

And yet they are agents of the Emperor. I think your orders would fall far short were you to attack one of his own.

The rebels have jedi. The Empire, while not wanting anything to do with jedi, would see fit to use dark jedi loyal to the Emperor to counter the Rebel jedi threat. Any Imperial killing a jedi loyal to the Emperor undoes that balance, and allows the Rebellion to triumph. Is that what you want to be known for?Killinga loyal agent to the Emperorthat resulted in the loss of a battle to the Rebellion? I am certain that you orders to hunt jedi would not allow you to jeopordize the Empire's power and strength in battle.

Even mortal enemies know when to lay aside their animosity. I would not jeopardize a mission where a dark jedi was killing rebels. The opportunity to kill the jedi traitor will come. If he can be of benefit by slaying a rebel, then it will wait. His time will come.
