well im not a BH yet, but like i said im working hard at it

currently i have medic, scout, marksman, ranger, artisan, and creature handler.

im using artisan to survey for supplies to help my friends in their crafting needs. so i will eventually drop it all together.

i obviously need to keep scout and marksman.

i intend to keep creature handler, my intent here is to have taming 4 and i think i will have enough points left to have training 3 i think. i intend to use these guys to help tank my marks so that i will hopefully kill the mark before me or the pet dies.

i will eventually have to drop medic, but like you i want the stimpacks so i will hold on to that for as long as possible.

ranger i am just using that to help me with getting closer to animals so that i can tame them easier. i am only skilling up in the wayfaring skill tree there. and ranger will totally go away once i need the points for CH or BH.

so once BH is mastered i will have just CH left with taming 4 and training 3 skill.

having only 33 points after master BH does not leave you much to work with

Honestly I say go for it. Things are rough at the moment, but I'm sure the wrinkles will get ironed out.

The only reason you see so much complaint right now is that we were BH's when the changes were made. Adjusting to them is PAINFUL, but not impossible.

Seriously the only issues that still exist that I realllly care about are the level of difficulty (Only because of the fact that they're ALL red cons in conjunction with the quote that is my signature), and the fact that it literally costs us money to do missions.

I think obviously the designers MUST know that these two points are somewhat ridiculous, and need to be fixed. If they fix that, and don't nerf us any more, I'm sure I'll stay a BH on this charcter for as long as I have the game. Of course, once I open my FSCS, I'll probably play on that one pretty exclusively. =) hehe jk

"only issues" does not include outright bugs however. Some people not being able to log in isn't a BH issue to me, it's an overall quality of the game issue.

Well I'm working up the levels and I can tell you from my experience that after you get some speed and accuracy it's not that bad. I'm 3/0/0/3 right now but it's a ton better than it was when I was just Novice.

I'm a Master Pikeman and I love the class. There is nothing I can't take as a Master Pikeman that I couldn't take when I was a TKM. It is a bit different, more planning may be required for some mobs, but I like the class.

Even then, in pvp, we're really still no match for acklay stun batons, riflemen of any sort, CMs, etc. You can buff up and wear all the armor you want, you'll go down much faster than they will.

I just mastered pikeaman. I have mastered every other melee class, and this is one of my favorties. Tkm and fencer are a little boring. Swordsman is good, but I think Pike with all the area specials is my favorite to play.

Is it a bad class: No.

Does it have some serious issues: Yes.

Can you find ways to help plug those issues: Yes, mostly.

Is it an enjoyable class to play: Hands down.

One on one most other melee classes can take you in a straight fight and pvp is problematic for us. On the other hand if you take a little time to learn to play the class, make the effort to prepare character with what he needs to excel, you will shock a lot of people with what your capable of doing.

To do well as a Pikeman, you have to think and play smart.

And you wont be one of the ten billion other FoTM tk/rifle/cm/fencer/docs out there either

I'm 4044 and I'm really enjoying theclass. The ae dizzy and kd moves are a lot of fun in pve.

Early experiments with pvp indicate we aren't that good .

Been Master Pikeman for nearly two months now and hell I don't exchange this profession for anything and I do mean anything. Sure TKMs take more punishment, Fencers take less punishment, Swordsmen dish out more hits but we've got the style and the moves. I can't tell you how fun it was area sweeping and then area attacking 4 Imps with a mind poison lance, then dish out some spins with the health poison one and boy did I hear whining. True you cannot be a serious threat in PvP without looted items but then again there's no single profession that can boast a beautiful animation such as AreaAttack2 minus the finishing knee thrust besides Jedi.

And don't forget, Master Pikeman means you can die in style, hell even when decimated in PvP I always get clapped at or something because I'm at least trying and AreaKD is SO shocking when it comes out of nowhere. Its my favorite Melee Profession and I've tried them all so far to some degree, the only reason I'm grabbing some Swordsman skills is to be able to go up and smack Axkva till she drops the motors for my lance instead of staying back and intimidating or something...

Never EVER hear to the opinions of hologrinders since their sticking to a profession and actually figuring out how it works amounts to like one hour after hitting Master. You need tactics and a sharp brain if you want mindless spam attacks TKA is your move, no offence to the TKMs but I don't see anyone doing anything different from KD/Dizzy spam UH3.
