Well Goku may be able to deflect energy attacks, but aren't lightsabers still kinetic, haha. In the end Goku would win.

ever wonder if you pointed a lightsaber straight towards the middle of the earth and just dropped it, would it have the inertia to keep going on and eventually hit china? or would it sit there in the middle of the world with the thousands of other lightsabers that jedi accidently must have dropped during training practice or being disarmed from?...
be more inventive. they show almost every possibility DBZ fighters have on almost all the shows. Think of all of the possibilities of the jedi... like when Vader starts throwing those giant box-thingies around in episode 5 (not sure what they're called), if they have the ability to manipulate animate objects like that, could they not manipulate the very bodies of Goku and pals? And for those of you that have played JK2, everything gets fun when homing rocket launchers are combined with force powers
plus once they fire the rockets, they could manipulate the explosive ammo to have almost a mind of it's own to dodge energy projectiles and 'sneak' up on it's prey

Lightsabers can't cut through *everything* just by lightly touching it. Case in point, the blast doors to the bridge of the Trade Federation ship in Ep I. It took significant effort by QGJ to try to cut through the doors, and when they closed the 2nd set, he gave up cuz it would take too long. If it was just like cutting through water, he would have gone through the doors and ended the entire conflict right there.

Pssh...no contest. Throw a Dark Jedi Master at one of them DBZ things. That DBZ is done. I recall the witches of Dathomir, the Nighsisters actually, being able to shatter Han Solo's teeth with the Force. And the NS's aren't even fully trained Dark Jedi!Use your imagination. Hmm...use Force to stop heart, cause embolism, shatter every bone in something's body....you name it.No way a Saiyon (or whatever the hell)is gonna win against a DJM. Just my 2c....

lol effect mind is all a jedi would have to do. Goku is pretty simple....perhaps even weak minded.

Even though SuperSaiyan's are fast as heck i think jedi reflexes would kick in for the defense part, and i don't think punching through a lightsaber blade would be the best choice....
Plus Super Saiyan's energy attacks... think about it... ENERGY attacks... lightsabers can deflect
The fight sounds close. Give the Jedi a full set of buffs and 90% comp armor and he'll walk all over Saiyan.
And if somehow the jedi loses.... we'll just nerf the Super Saiyan
