Thread: Hunted first jedi in about a month, like to share my disappointing experience

So i banking that he is AFK and open up on em in the cloning station. KD attack -100 damage, critical shot -358 damage, torso shot -136 damage. Well he gets up and i know when that happened i was in big trouble, he KDs me down and wails on me. He is doing 900 to 1200 damage each hit. all im doing is running out of the cloning station and healing myself. He runs after me and i try to do a stopping shot to keep em away from me. He saber throws me before i could and im incapped.
I didnt expect to win this fight if he wasn't AFK but if im doing 100 to 350 damage to a jedi and he can do 900 to 1200 a hit. Obviously a Master Defender andMaster Lightsaber. But the damage output is so way out of whack that no one could stand a chance. Im using a damaged capped pistol with decent min damage. I have had this experience many times before dying in 10 seconds to a jedi with a pre-cu saber so im not new to it.
My question isthis 1.5 times more powerful? My math tells me he is more like 3 or 4 times more powerful if im just doing critical shots.
Well i have fought a few post CU jedi and the fights last alot longer and usually the outcome is more favorable. The devs need to tone down those old pearls, i cant imagine the pain a new jedi would have when he pvps an old school jedi with a saber like that.
Thats my experience, im not giving up completely, just dropping those missions on old jedi.
heres the deal .... they wont be that strong forever .... when the FRS hits you will see MANY MANY MANY jedi begging for PRE CU sabers to get nerfed .. one of the major reasons they havent instated the FRS system yet ( in my opinion)is the unbalance between old and new jedi ...they cant just let ALL jedi have premium pearls in that the class would be so ridiculously outbalanced that they would have to re-vamp the entire game again ... so wait .. and when FRS hits .. those pre CU sabers wont be as strong as they are now

You "forgot" to factor in the advantage a ranged class has over a melee class. Bounty Hunters aren't meant to go toe to toe with Jedi, except if they really, really need to. And if they do so, the Jedi can and should have a very big advantage.
Just comparing straight numbers between classes is not an overly meaningful measure of a classes usefulness/strength.

You would have taken about 300 to 400 damage instead of 1000, which you could have healed easily and attacked back on top of that.
