This would be my second choice, and I may still do it just for fun and something to do =P
I spent the 15 points in novice brawl just for intimidate, as since the weapon switch delay, I hardly ever bother to switch out weapons anymore.

One thing I am curious about though is I was told the defenses for the pistol grips column wasn't to helpful in stuff related to PvP, or were people mostly talking about against jedi? Is mpistoleer worth getting because of the grips column (the one I lack), or are the new specials I get at mpistoleer what make it worthwhile?
Anyhoo, just one more thing I wanted to bring up. I heard the above just from various groups I have been in, personally I have no clue.

Hi Katya7,
Ranged or Melee Defense, in PvP, usually doesnt help much unless you cap it, which would be 125. As everyone has plenty of accuracy on a decent PvP template (and you wont encounter many others) they will hit you regardless.
For PvE, the mid-range mobs miss you a lot more when you have good defense... at the high end (NS Elders, Kimos, Krayts and DWB etc.) stuff will hit you every time, you will not dodge/block/counterattack. Live with it.
A nice template that seemed well-made, props to admiraljz, is the following:
MBH
Pistoleer 0040 (Geo Pistol, Fan Shot, and state defenses... these DO matter)
Carbineer 0402 (Its all about accuracy, and Crippling Shot. MBH specials are usually better anyway)
Novice Brawler (Intimidate and Warcry (to cover up weaponswitch delay)
Novice Medic (Stim Bs)
Only downside is, no DE-10, and low defense for solo PvE. But you do dish out a ton of states, hit all the time, and have all basic PvP stuff covered.
The MBH/MP template suffers a lot from armor ratings and the somewhat lowish damage of pistols. Unless you can get your hands on a DE-10, which in PvP, with Eyeshot, can be devastating.
I hope that helped, in some way

Thank you very much, it helped quite a bit actually.
I am still learning, but this has definitely helped me figure out a good path to go as well as having a bit more confidence.

Looks like the one with novice brawler seems to be the most widely liked, hehe. I had read that intimidate was good to have but honestly wasn't sure, and didn't know how well it'd work just being at novice level. Glad I asked though, so I didn't waste working up points in the wrong area, hehe.
Trige_, thanks but I mentioned in my post I want to try and stick with ranged weapons only, I don't want to go melee. Even if it hurts me a bit, I want to be mbh solely using ranged weapons.

I have to agree with Calhen, MPistoleer is a bit lacking in damage unless you have a very expensive pistol. If you like pistols, and don't mind spending ALOT of credits on good weapons... its alot of fun. A DE10 is a very nice toy to have as well =)
Lots of good suggestions for MBH templates in here, some are all offense, some offer a bit more defense and longevity. Can't hurt a bit to try one out, and then switch to another. All depends on what kind of play style you adapt!
If it weren't for my DE10 Cert... I'd probably dabble around a bit more to see if I can end up with a more rounded template. I hate the fact that I never use carbines anymore. One of the things I liked about BH was the versatility of different weapons.

MPowers + MEnhancer + SAbers 0404
or
MPowers + MDef + Sabers 0404
And if you think healing is a must have, please post, maybe I can drop some sabers for heals 4000 or something. I'd like to hear some pro's and cons opinions about the above templates as I have no XP and can't decide. I do know I want to begood in the DWB, and I don't pvp unless I have to.
thx for the feedback.

If your outta force a good saber wont do you much good either since saber hit will be basically all you can do.
