Dathomir, Dantooine, or Endor
for grinding out CH xp. I get about 1040k xp per enraged rancor on dath using a spat. Is there anything on another planet that is better?

Wait a minute here do you get 1,040 XP per rancor or do you get 1040k (1,040,000)? lol Watch where you slap those k's

Kimogilas. Lok. 2000 CH XPper kill, with just about anything.
Of course, you can't do them solo. Small drawback.

killing is not grinding. that's for fun. if you want to grind find a spawning area and tame, train and then kill babies. you should get from 1000 to 1500 xp per babies. if you find the right area you can do about 10 to 15 babies in 30 to 45 min. if you go to naboo near keren there is a lake thtat has a great baby spawning area.

i think i am going to pick up the brwler profession so i have a close ranged attack thing against beasts, so i get better damage against them when close, and i want to know which tree is the best to climb up for combat?

Best is VERY subjective. It depends on what you're trying to do, what your other professions are, and personal preference. Without more info, I find it hard to say what is the best.
General thoughts are:
fencer---->best PvP
swordsman------>best PvE
TKA------->good all around
Pikeman-------->best at being under rated 
fencer------>Great Defenses, hits body, good state effects
Swordsman------->great damage, hits mind, good AoE specials
TKA----->great damage (ony kinetic though), good defenses, good state effects
Pikeman------>Great AoE specials (as long as you're buffed to handle the HAM costs), hits action

Stormbilly you forgot to say that Fencer can do Stun damages wich is a great advantage in PvP 
Anyways, I suggest you pick the profession you like, see if you prefer 1handed, 2handed, polearm or unarmed. Because if you grind a profession you don't like just to be "powerful" you'll want to drop it pretty quickly.

Yes, you're right I did forget to mention damage types.
Stun damage is very nice to have as a fencer.
Plus if you're looking for great looking moves, then fencer is a good choice. I love the fencer animations.

I don't care what people say. Pikeman IS good. But it DOES need fixes (i am a master pike)

I agree that Pike is good (though needs help)....that's why I said they are great at being under-rated.....they are much better than the reputation that they have.

I want to be able do both PvE and PvP (definitely), but I want to stay a ranged weapon user and be an mbh. I was curious which of these four templates do you think would be best? I am two skills away from the top template mentioned, but could really use some guidance. Not sure if I should drop medic for master pistoleer, or try for something totally different. Any help would be really really appreciated, I'm at a bit of a loss
