Thread: Quesiton: Is this an exploit?
Sooo... You didn't have a mission on this particular Jedi, but you still were able to assist in your guildies fight against him... If only we can assist our guildies when being attacked.

One of my guildmates has a mission on Dant. I have a mission out there too. Our marks seem pretty close to one another. He gets to his first and engages. Mine hops a shuttle. So I go over to where he is and he is fighting a jedi and doing pretty well. The jedi keeps trying to run away. I assume that he has cloak and wants to use it to escape the fight. I /follow the jedi so he can't cloak.
Is following a jedi so that they can not use cloak, when you do not have their mission, considered an exploit?
I believe that its just good tactics, but let me know what you think.
No flames please. Just reasoned opinions.
Thanks.

I would agree - not an exploit but almost certainly a from a griefing.
ROFL - BS follow that clown all over so he can't cloak. Your not going to get your friggin account suspended for such nonsense. They don't suspend/ban Jedi for using the known cooldown timer exploit and they are d*mn sure not going to suspend you as BH for keeping a whiny*ss Jedi from cloaking. Don't speak to them just follow them. No one can prove what your intent is as long as you don't say anyway ![]()
Don't let these Jedi who come in heredeter you. You do anything sneaky, underhanded whatever to kill them. If the CSR's don't like it they will let you know. NEVER EVER TAKE SOME JEDI's WORD FOR WHATS AN EXPLOIT AND WHATS NOT.
As far as they are concerned the fact the you as BH can breathe without permission from them is an EXPLOIT.
Bottom line is it might not be an exploit but it's sure as hell griefing. YOu want to grief me, then be prepared to be annoyed. That is all

Nope no exploit at all.
But people rather have skills nerfed instead of using tactics like this.
Looking at some of the posts I'm really getting a laugh at some who seem to have no clue that this could be done. I've even posted it in suggestions for ways to get to cloaked Jedi.
Makes it obvious that people cannot read, and are completely clueless and lazy.
flame on if you wish but it's the truth.

erm, bring as many friends as you want i'll still be able to get cloak off. And if you do bring your buds i'm sure as hell going to mess with you and surely end up pissing you off. That's what i do with bh's that bring buddies with them. I let them chase me all over on their swoops, with fr2 i have never had a problem getting cloak off. All you have to do is change directions pretty quick and a swoop has a hard time with that. /cloak for the win muhahhahhaa.

ROFL, you think so do you
The new changes will be changing your tune right quick
Frankly, I like cloakers. See with a cloaker....THEY ARE WEAK....they spend lots of points on an escape skill. Points they could invest in defense or attack skills....no, they anonounce thier cowardice by holding a skill only useful for escape ![]()
I advocate the SNEAKY method of killing Cloaker Jedi. At thier very core Jedi cloakers are cowards, treat them as such. They don't deserve head on attacks. Watch and wait. When the PvP, or they are low on health grinding, or when they are on thier bikes flying into the starport. Thats when you hit them. With thier pathetic defenses you can kill them nice and quick. You don't have to worry about the cloaking then ![]()
Yeah, a defender might be worth a head on fight....but not cloakers, never show one of these cowards any respect...after all they don't have any for themselves ![]()
LOL make fun all you MCM/BH with the new changes CM will be worthless u will eat your whole mind trying to dot a jedi to death.....You BH's are soo fast to say that a jedi is using a expliot..what about the BH's that run around puting dots on a cloaked jedi...that is a exploit....funny how people point the finger so fast...Kinda like the last BH that came for me said i used the duel exploit to get him to argo which in fact i still had a dot on me that pulled the agro...anyways go ahead and cry so more that jedi are to powerful..trueth is u just stink at being a BH if u get killed...I have a list of the BH's that i fear to have come for me....The ones on the list i never see here whinning that jedi cheated or that we need nerfed..there just good at what the do..They spend alot ofcredits for the armor and the weapons to beat us and alot of time getting there azz kicked till they learn the tricks to beat a Jedi...Just becouse u go out and Master Bounty Hunter and Master Combat Medic does not mean u now have a Button that kills every jedi u go agaist...It takes skill....For those that have the skill to beat me I respect the others SHUT UP....

That's a pretty grey area...I think it could be argued that the above action constitutes griefing/exploiting, since it falls into the same category as /duelling to get out of stasis or a Jedi having his friend DB so the BH does not get paid or get XP. Jedi/BH fights are supposed to be a 1v1 affair, no helpful actions from any non-participants are supposed to be allowed.

I would like to hear this one. Is it that easy. I would say no. But im sure going to try it. Now the question is does it work on all servers? and can the guy fighting the Jedi /follow him also in the way you were?

I can stay on my bike and follow the jedi without peril (unless he runs through some high end mobs). Unlike my guildmate that is snared or rooted or KDed or whatever. Follow works on all server with all kinds of things from players, to mobs to NPCs.____________________________________________________________________________________________I know the follow thing works with all mobs etc. But what i want to know is, if I ride up on a known cloaker in a group or something and have not attacked him yet and i do a /follow him will it prevent him from cloaking? Because the cloakers ive seen done it right in front of me right before i get my attack off and after that its like a big sale pitch to get them to uncloak. Sorry i should of explained a little more in detail of the info i was looking for.
Trust me, if you do that, you will end up with the whole group filing harrasment tickets. Jedi don't like people stalking them for no reason while grinding, and they will hate you for it. It's a greyish area, but I've heard of CSRs siding with Jedi on this as a form of player harrasment. And yes, they will file tickets on you if you do it for long. There could be low level Jedi in group trying to level up and avoid viz, so they certainly won't like outsiders too close.
