Give this man a cookie. Ethics are a code of behavior an individual chooses and adheres to, as opposed to morals, which are defined by society. It is possible to be very ethical, while at the same time amoral - this is why Jedi accuse us of "griefing" when we simply act as a BH should and would.

My ethics as a BH are defined very easily: Fulfill the contract.

There was a good thread about "the code" a while back, here's my thoughts on the issue.

If I came across my mark on the crapper, I'd kick the door in and shoot him anyhow.

the ONLY ethics a BH should have are:

1) dont cheat

2) dont talk trash

3) dont lie

The second they dropped names from the terminals I stopped caring about what else they might be involved in.

Ethics?

pfft.

My first Jedi kill was contrary to the morals and ethics of most of our society.

I tracked my mark all the way to the outskirts ofYavin ... stayed a ways away, watched while he battled rebels, creatures, and all sorts of monsters. I bided my time and stayed back ... I'm not sure if he saw me, or what .. but he took off heading for the outpost.

I followed him almost 5000m back to the outpost .. my BARC got disabled on the way back ... switched bikes, and realized my buffs were about to wear out. I decided to give up and try another bounty, this was obviously a Jedi very focused on combat.

I rode into the outpost, and low-and-behold he's dueling with someone, he gets incapp'd, I ride in, hop off my bike, and DB him.

Cries and /tells of "you're cheap, come back here and duel me!" ... Ethically I have no obiligation to do so, so I declined. I told him to look me up when I'm SF'd some day

I adhere to my own standards of honor. If you're going to wave your lightsaber around in view of the public, I'm going to wave my blaster in your face, and pull the trigger.

There's too many Jedi in this game. As Bounty-Hunters, it's our job to thin the herd. The more Jedi that quit because of us BH's, the better.

I like Jango Fetts definition of ethics and honour, He keeps his bargains and he earns his pay. Thats my code of conduct as BH, If I make a deal I keep it.

Im a professional killer, I kill for a living, the people I kill arekillers themselves, where do ethics come into where or how I kill them?

Now in game weddings Ive got married 3 times so far, twice at the bazaa in Mos eisely and once in the wilds. Ive also got married in RL in game weddings are not the same thing. I might be spoiling a small bit of their gaming experience, cnaces are they've spoilt a bit of moine, by waving their sabre around and virtually excluding non jedi from the GCW. Id call that a draw.

iadhere tothis strict ethical code as well.

Ok try again... this is what I wrote in the original post but Lithium is positively the worst BB code In the entire world.

I dont take payouts, once Im bought I stay bought that's all the honour I have. Money Talks, Jedi Walks (preferably out of the cloner). Also I hate it when they incap me and then let me live. I dont like the feeling that I might owe them something. In fact from now on if they let me live Im not dropping the mission, I'll just lie about it and come back later.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you

I don't know if its ethics or not in question, I mean lets face it the dev's have given us a sytem thats a griefing system, no two ways about it, anytime you keep someone from the playing the game the way they want to you have griefed them, simple as that,,so here is where my ethics come in, and i have hunted many jedi and won many battles, first off I don't kill jedi that are out with friends having a good time and playing, thats the stalker in me, I don't wait until the jedi is almost dead and attack him, I am coward for that, and will only get hate tells, I think its bad enough I have to use cm in my template an overpowered profession at one time designed for the gcw, I am a bounty hunter not a doctor !!

I love the chase, and watching my target study him learn him, know how he fights when I go into battle, that to me is what bh does, not loaded up with crap and hoping for the instant I Win button, where is the fun in that ?

And I have never recieved a hate tell from a jedi, that I killed, because we had fun and the jedi I fought wanted to fight, I know there are players that wanna be jedi and not pvp (roleplayers), those are the ones that send hate tels i belive,, I know they knew what they were getting into yada yada...
