Ethics are personaly defined and thus, very subjectiv. Besides, what has Ethics got to with killing my mark? If I accept the assignment, then I have made the choice to hunt and take a life. My Ethics would only prevent me from endangering bystanders. But, my blaster fire can not hurt ohters (no gorup TEF), so that is null.
Expect to get flamed, as I expect others will have something to say about my post.
Its always relative, relative to the Hunter, to the hunters mood, to the mark, to the marks mood, to the hunters previous mark.
Personally, I dont like shooting chicks, but I hate rebs more, but above all, I like getting paid. So, while I may have some nudgings toward being extra nice, they will easily be outweighed by my greed and/or lust for combat. Basically, I am not above holding your daughter at gunpoint to make you come out into the open unarmed, but if you're a chick, I'll say sorry afterwards.
BHers have none and apart from being hypocritical with double standards, they have no hope since they feel SWG focuses around them.
Please move on.

I have been thinking about your question, because I like a good debate. The results thus far, a debate with myself....
We shall use an example:
Our Jedi is in the middle of a player event that has been organized and advertised far in advance. It is her weading. I take the mission. I track the mark. I arive at the weading. Numerous guest are there, the event is well organized. I can see that much planning and work has gone into this. The vows are being said and it's well written and very emotional.
I know that if I attack, most of the guest will be upset. The bride (my mark) will be most upset. Win or lose, the hate tells and forum flames will not be quenched.
Now, what would you or I do, based on "ethics"
If I was part of the event, I would most likely be upset. If this was well scripted in a movie, I would be most entertained.
I play this game for my personal entertainment. I think the ethics should be left to wether I use an exploit or not, not if I should hunt a Jedi or how I should kill him......
Now, the discussion......
My big ethical thing used to be faction. You just don't kill jedi of the same faction as you.
However, that's all changed recently, since the last 3 rebel Jedi (my BH is Imp)I chased down were grinding away alongside Imp jedi (in the same group), and the Imp jedi were the ones giving me grief.
No more.... faction be damned. Kill em all and let God sort em out.

If I took a payout, I wouldn't DB. That's pretty much the only ethics I have during a hunt.
iadhere tothis strict ethical code as well.
Well I'll define it as such (for me of course) :
If I say I am going to do something I do it. If I tell you I am going to drop the misioin I will. if I give you my word that i won't attack if you come out of your house , I won't.
However I have been sneaky and told a mark's freind I was a noob that needed help so I could get closer to kill the mark. Idid not shoot at a Jedi flying around in his jetpack (did not shoot the pack), giving up surpise and the match but I have killed Jedi that are AFK or low on force. It's a complicated thing in regards to this game but I think it personally boils down to honesty for me. If I take money and tell you I won't DB I won't . If I pretend to be in a grind group so I can kill the Jedi sneakily in the middle of a grind I will. Like I said it's complicated.
