So you get right up to this cloaked Jedi, then you launch a seeker. Jedi's still standing there. Then he uncloaks for a second, and in that second, you manage to launch a seeker and have it report back immediately, with the Jedi gaping at you. I see...

I'm pretty sure that's the way it works because I've tracked a cloaked bounty to his waypoint, used the identify target option and still didn't get a name. When they uncloaked for a second, I got a name.

Are you sure about this? Is there any official post somewhere confirming this?

i have not had an issue with range, when i track one that i cant get a name on, i always find them either cloked or in a building, cant seem to get names if they are in a building

i tried today from heart of darkness on naboo (radiant) when the target was in theed 3k away...didnt get name only WP. i THINK the actual thing is 1024 meters, which also happens to be the max range on your radar. i recall seeing a post somewhere dunno if it was official though, it concides with what ive noticed from my own experience.

name=useless, if you already have the mission, and tracked them to where they are.

It would be nice if you could toggle between targetting NPC's, PC's, or all available targets. Then it wouldn't really be a problem.
Well unless you're hunting overt, but that is kinda risky - I know from experience.

Agreed. I've given up on using the identify target option.

Whats the point. You know he's rebel, you know you are going to beat him. Why waste one of your seeker droids for such a pointless thing.
