Thread: What if all professions were affected like BHs in Pub 20?

You can't compare BH with ANY profession. Hunting other players is unique.

PLEASE, STOP WHINING!!!!

Compared to the Old BH systems, even after Pub 20 it will be 10x easier.

Maybe Jedi could use a similar system for their training? You have an unknown trainer somewhere in the galaxy. Go visit your local 'guru' to request training in a certain skill. Then they have to find another 'guru' to ask him for a little info on who his trainer will be. The 'guru' says, "I'm thinking of a person. He is very wise. Go meditate in the wilds for insight where he might be..."

Then the Jedi has to leave the city and meditate for a couple minutes before he finds out which planet his contact is on. If he/she is on a normal planet, the Jedi can then fly out and meditate some more to get a tighter lock on where the trainer is. When he gets to the location, the trainer will try to run away and 30% of the time will have cloak allowing him to completely disappear, even then, he will be in a group of 7 or more NPCs and the Jedi will not know which one is the right one until he talks to him.

Oh yeah, if the Jedi doesn't find the trainer in 20-30 minutes, there will be a 50% chance he jumped to a different planet, a 25% chance he 'logged-out' for an indeterminate amount of time and a 25% chance he will stay there a little longer.

If the trainer is on Kash, the Jedi has to run around to each instance of each area until he talks to the correct NPC. If he's lucky, the NPC won't run to hide in a LOS-area.

Sounds like it could be fun content for Jedi... really...

Sounds like trying to find a LJK pre-CU. Whats your point?

And lets be serious, BH is far easier and more powerful now than it ever was. A dabbler should never have been allowed to hunt Jedi once they made BH costs nothing. Imho, they went the complete wrong way with BH, it needed to go back to a 200+ sp profession that is good at one job, hunting. What they made BH was 2im a marksman, BH FTW!". Any job you want to do with a gun, BH makes you better at it, thats where they went wrong...

Sorry, but it seem sto me you're asking if all professions should have to go out and play the actual in-game created content rather than just go kill other players.

Guess what? They already do. Welcome to the club.

Just imagine:

1. If you're, lets say, a CL 50marksman trainee. You can't group anymore, and when you go to a mission term, you have to pick a mission without know what you're going to destroy or how powerful it will be.

2. Every mission for our marksman has to go through 4 steps: Find mission on terms, get addtional info on Mission (a la Spynet op.), Send out a probe droid, and then track you mission because it may be moving (unless of course it's on Kash.)

3. After all this, you do find you mark, because luckily he wasn't on Kash. Unfortunatley, he is a CL 80 mob that will decimate you instantly. Well, you just wasted all that time and resources locating a mission and tracking it only to find out that the game is being catered to full template elite characters.

It's disappointing that ours is the only profession that has to jump through all these hoops to get our mission. And now we can't hunt in groups for a (sometimes) needed advantage. Look out other professions, once BH is done, you're next.

BTW, i'm not blaming Jedi for this. I know I wouldn't be opposed if they gave us an "I Win" button either.

plz stop your complainin....BH is obviously a different proffesion than most. It's called the thrill of the hunt, if you find it unnecessary and boring, than go find something else to do. Honestly, I think Pub 20 is great, coming from a MBH. And if your not CL80, trying to hunt jedi, well then, yes you are screwed. But thats the nature of it. If you cant take it, hunt NPC's. Sure, there are some you cant take, even as CL80, but, you cant win everything, and half of the BH population needs to know this. The Jedis have just as many ignorant, immature players, as do BH's, so chill

Guess What? The actual Tracking and Hunting skills are only 25% of your skill points. Don't act like Jedi hunting is the only thing to do with your time.

Lets Just see what else a BH can do:

1. NPC Missions

2. Guild/Group Hunts

3. Quests

4. PVP/GCW Stuff

5. And countless other things

This arguement about Publish 20 is getting old. Suck it up and deal with it. I agree it's a little unfair now, but maybe a good solution would be fore tha names to be sent to you when you are within 1k of your target. How does that sound?

I personally have no problems with them moving Jedi hunting to MBH. I was kind of surprised it wasn't done before. Then again, I think there are a lot of skills which should be moved to master boxes to prevent dabbling... Skills like Cloak, for instance.

The SP requirements mean little to me. I did BH back when it required MScout & MMarks and it wasn't THAT bad. The good thing about the current requirements is that it allows BHs to be more varied instead of cookiee-cutter versions of each other.
