Thread: What if all professions were affected like BHs in Pub 20?

Just imagine:

1. If you're, lets say, a CL 50marksman trainee. You can't group anymore, and when you go to a mission term, you have to pick a mission without know what you're going to destroy or how powerful it will be.

2. Every mission for our marksman has to go through 4 steps: Find mission on terms, get addtional info on Mission (a la Spynet op.), Send out a probe droid, and then track you mission because it may be moving (unless of course it's on Kash.)

3. After all this, you do find you mark, because luckily he wasn't on Kash. Unfortunatley, he is a CL 80 mob that will decimate you instantly. Well, you just wasted all that time and resources locating a mission and tracking it only to find out that the game is being catered to full template elite characters.

It's disappointing that ours is the only profession that has to jump through all these hoops to get our mission. And now we can't hunt in groups for a (sometimes) needed advantage. Look out other professions, once BH is done, you're next.

BTW, i'm not blaming Jedi for this. I know I wouldn't be opposed if they gave us an "I Win" button either.

I suppose you'd prefer a system where as soon as you take the mission your mark just falls over dead?

Well it could be worse, you could be a creature handler. Just imagine,

You get your BH mission, you know the leveland the name. Launch your droid and get the planet, go to the planet and launch a seeker, yay the mark is close. Life is good.

You go up to your mark but ah...you must wait 15 seconds before you can equip your weapon. Once you have your weapon equipped you must spam attack 3 or 4 times before the gun fires. Then, once you hit your mark, all of the marks friends that were hanging around bum rush you and take you down. After all this you find that your weapon is stuck in attack mode and can't be used unless you cross a server boundary or log out of the game completely.

Every profession has major issues with it. No one single profession is worse off than any other. They all suck equally.

I think that it is a good point, though I believe there is a balance to it. I don't think that we have to have the name of the Jedi, however if we have the amount that the Jedi is worth as well as the difficulty level of the Jedi it would be much more fair to those that are not confident in their PvP abilities as well as those that are not completed templates.

A check could be put in that does not allow CL78+ players to take bounties on Jedi that are below a certain level. I don't know, but I somewhat agree with the original poster.

As far as the ignorant moron that felt the need to make a antagonistic comment...why don't you just go away. This is legitimate discussion and you are just a bother, nothing more.

First thanks for not blaming Jedi.

Second since what you are referring to (Hunting Jedi) is not an NPC type mission, then you have to expect it to be different.

And since the NPC missions for even BH are still the same as for ANY other profesions Missions........

And as always I have to say Jedi are not BH's only content. It may be more challenging (fun) for BH to hunt a Jedi, But then stop complaining about it not being as easy as an NPC.

Any jedi who can't see how negative of a publish this is for a Bounty Hunter is living in an imaginary world. The publish makes absolutely no sense and will make BHing 100 times harder and Jedi grinding 100 times easier. This is the whole point of the publish: to cater to their most common paying customer (a jedi). For any jedi to get on the boards and say Bounty Hunters are whining needlessly and that we just want an easy kill is ignorant and blind.

And the publish where they put a timer on jedi heals hurt us pretty bad too buddy.... this isnt the end all of the BH prof, you just have to learn how to use your skills......This doesnt make anything easer or harder just adds a new learning curve

Maybe Jedi could use a similar system for their training? You have an unknown trainer somewhere in the galaxy. Go visit your local 'guru' to request training in a certain skill. Then they have to find another 'guru' to ask him for a little info on who his trainer will be. The 'guru' says, "I'm thinking of a person. He is very wise. Go meditate in the wilds for insight where he might be..."

Then the Jedi has to leave the city and meditate for a couple minutes before he finds out which planet his contact is on. If he/she is on a normal planet, the Jedi can then fly out and meditate some more to get a tighter lock on where the trainer is. When he gets to the location, the trainer will try to run away and 30% of the time will have cloak allowing him to completely disappear, even then, he will be in a group of 7 or more NPCs and the Jedi will not know which one is the right one until he talks to him.

Oh yeah, if the Jedi doesn't find the trainer in 20-30 minutes, there will be a 50% chance he jumped to a different planet, a 25% chance he 'logged-out' for an indeterminate amount of time and a 25% chance he will stay there a little longer.

If the trainer is on Kash, the Jedi has to run around to each instance of each area until he talks to the correct NPC. If he's lucky, the NPC won't run to hide in a LOS-area.

Sounds like it could be fun content for Jedi... really...

BF is going away. You won't ever have to go into a cantina ever again. The only thing an entertainer will provide is inspiration buffs. In exchange for a real via purpose in the game, the entertainers are being given purdy props to swing around while they dance all by themselves in the empty cantinas.

Now, anyone else want to complain about their profession being gimped?
