Thread: The Bomb Droid. Is it even worth it?

I really like how the countdown timer appears over the droid. Gives me enough warning to pretty much make the blast useless against me.

well i thought i would try a new template that involved the BOOM droids.

i am MBH + MRM and some left over skill points i put into CH, so i have a nice pet i ride around on that can do some good damage as well.

Well what i do is find where my mark is if theyare not on wook world, ride along with my mount and a boom bot following me, looks like 1 arrow on the radar as well.

I just waddle up to my mark and at the right moment jump off and knock them down, then set my pet and boom bot on them. And while this is going on i hit prone and use sniper shot.

The pet does 750 dmg usually, the bot does 1k dmg and my sniper does on average 1500, this is based on a 140k mission. so they get incapped or if not a critical shot usually fineshes them.

It depends on the jedi's template but i found that this works 2 out of 3 time for me so i like it.

Couldnt do this ith out the good old boom bot.

Hope this helps.

If in doubt pull out a thermal detenator. ;-)

the MSE 34 power are much more cost effective to use aye....

but when you got that personal vendetta or some really anoying jedi =0...even if you lost money in using like 5 80k R3 Bombs it can be worth it lol

I hit a lad with a MSE doombox for 1.2K. Keep in my mind that the ineherent jedi armour will actually block the damage of these, so if you know whatever you're after is an MDef, you're not likely to get that much of an effect.

I should add. These things have a 17m effect blast. It may be possible to agro stuff if mobs are hit by the blast.

I would say its only pratical to use these in citys. Where a droid isnt out of place.
