lol i like how a guy from chimaera is trying to tellme about "real pvp," i play on bria(the big server that actually has a gcw,not 8 cloaked jedi camping theed starport )

so all 8 of the jedi on your server have mls+cloak? we have a guild that like thaton bria, they are the laughingstock of the server. but i guess the uber chimaera jedi know all about the "real pvp".

then you obviously dont know how this effects the beginning players. Not only will they never get a group now, due to only needing higher levels, but they will not have access to the weapons L54+'s have, low armor with negative mods, and facing creatures with more HAM than they can do damage. This effects EVERY profession.

as i said, this affects people who were too lazy to play the game within its intended design. i always thought that it was odd that a CL20 player could jump into a group with a CL80 player, hit a gurk once, and then gain full XP from the kill.

the affect of this change will be that players will be joining groups that are within range of their own combat level -- the way it should be, and the way that makes sense.

I agree that jedi should take more than 3 weeks to grind, but with these xp changes and the amount of time i can play this game it will take 2-3 years to complete my template. For the new guys trying to get normal professions it will also take a long amount of time, not being able to use good weapon and armor, and having a hard time to find groups. When i hear bh's complain about jedi running it makes me angry, for a few reasons. Yes there are some honorable bh's out there that will tell you to get ready, to have a completely fair fight, but there are also others that will wait, and db or incap you as you are getting attacked while grinding. So whats the difference, jedi run, bh's wait til the jedi is almost dead to attack. The only jedi that really stand a chance against the bh/ mcm template are pre cu full templates, or guys with master defender, why even try to fight if you know you will lose, expecially now when a bh kill means that you will be set back weeks in accomplishing your complete template. (Sorry if this message is a bit, out of order)

P.S. A new idea for bh would be that a bh gets a set amount of experience or rating, they go below this rating they cant hunt jedi until they get it back up, the higher the rating the more payout.

your missing the point. Some people have real life obligations and cannot play all day. And at the xp rates that their at now, it will take months upon months, possibly years (jedi wise) to get a full temp.

yeah, we do. we have 30-40 a side battles for a good 2-3 hours a night normally, more at weekends lad, plus smaller scale fighting 24 hours a day. and it would be bigger numbers if our crappy euro server bandwidth could support more people in one place at the same time. umm, who is camping any starports? there is rarely any combat in npc towns because of all the large base complexes we have built on each side that attract far more pvp. the gcw is alive and going extremely well in player towns all over the server due to the mature way the opposite factions talk to each other at the higher levels to arrange pvp events.

all 8 of the jedi here? the server is chock full of them, well over half all pvpers are jedi, or have jedi chars. probably getting on for half the server in general has jedi now, its no big thing. bria, the big server, lol. big head? and yer, we do know a thing or two bout how to fight mate, cos if your mpowers pvp jedi cloak, then run into big groups of enemies spamming area intim then you have a lot to learn....

i note you didnt respond to anything i said about legitimate use of cloak, none of which involved camping sps.... cos you have no answer, you have just been sat down. from the sounds of your fights you dont have much in the way of tactics apart from spamming your specials in a big mass charge.

so, what do we have from you, "i am from teh big server bria - we ist teh roxor" basically. poor effort, could do better. i'll leave you to rant and whine on alone, bed time for me nub.

i do sympathize with casual gamers, but from the get-go it has been known that jedi is an optional class to play. it is not something you are entitled to. obtaining a jedi avatar has always been a meta game.

i think SWG should implement a feature from another MMORPG that rewards casual gamers who are not able to play for hours on end. for instance, why not base a person's inspiration buff on how long it's been since he's logged in last. a person who logged in 48 hours ago would receive a greater inspiration buff bonus than a person who logged in 8 hours ago. it should be a function of how long since the last log-in, and the amount of time spent online on the last play session.

/wink. a temporary serverthatsonly loaded once a month for inter server fight tournaments would be great, would love to take on some of the other servers in nice organised fights on a neutral ground, but that would be far to much like interacting with their community for soe. still, we can always dream.

I am not talking about jedi. In fact, let me show you a post on our chilly forums from a commando corro....

This hurts the commando profession quite a bit ironically...

Since all of our weapons are skill based and the majority are AoE, you'll be a high CL character but stuck with a CL 14 weapon until your first skill, so you practically need a group to grind up the profession, and since you have to use such a low level weapon until you level...you won't be killing critters twice as fast :/
