Thread: Do you think the XP nerf only effects jedi?

Call me cross-prof trolling, but I just wanted to post it. Many bounty hunters already complain about jedi running. Some will stay and fight, alot I have stay, but what do you think will happen now? You will see no-one sticking and fighting. In fact, even my full temp jedi I am now going to run at every fight, for if I need to change temp when the FRS comes back, I dont want to grind out of -10 mil at the current 100 xp per kill.

And secondly, alot of people have come to our forums, pointing fingers and laughting. As my title says, this doesnt just effect jedi. If the devs dont realize this, than SWG could be in trouble. Many new players are most likely going to quit. Most mid-level people will quit if they cant handle it. This isnt to say everyone will quit because of this, however, many people who dont have much time to play, myself included, dont have the luxury anymore of grinding. Even grinding a regular profession now is going to take over a month at the current xp rate for the casual gamer. I just hope they increase it a bit.

no one stayed to die anyways, jedi will always try to escape even if there were no consequences.

edit: i'd also like to point out that they even have a special ability that only people that assume they're going to lose almost every 1v1 encounter would use skill points to acquire(i know there are the few rare mpowers jedi that actually got mpowers to cloak and run into large groups and area intim but other than that anyone who has this skill is basically admitting they're terrible at 1v1 pvp imo)

not true. Many jedi stay and fight. I've been fighting full temps and low paddys 24/7 with no running

Up until now, I'd never run from a BH, I have always faced the fights head on. Not because I like the PvP, but to get it done and over. Either he will kill me or I will kill him, but either way, afterwards he is on his way, and I can go on with my day.

But now, I'll be darned if I actually "give" a BH a fight. I'll house-sit, run, do whatever. Not to protect XP, as I am a full temp...but because, well, it just plain ain't worth it anymore.

personally i think the dev's are doing the right thing. they are trying to balance out the whole xp thing. it SHOULD take about a month to grind out a regular profession. and i think your post heading is a bit misleading. you are surely not complaining about the xp for your bh...so yes it has a big impact on jedi that were one hitting wookiees and grinding out templates in a matter of weeks.

If all the people who are say they are canceling account in the Tiggs post are telling truth then soe is about lose a lot of money and not all from Jedi accounts. But yeah no way in heck I will risk fighting at this point for same reason what if I want to regrind my template.

yes, i think this change only affects jedi who are too lazy to actually play within the game's intended design.

a couple of weeks ago i completed an entire branch of combat medic in an hour just running gurk groups on lok. the rate at which XP flowed into the game was ridiculous.

then you obviously dont know how this effects the beginning players. Not only will they never get a group now, due to only needing higher levels, but they will not have access to the weapons L54+'s have, low armor with negative mods, and facing creatures with more HAM than they can do damage. This effects EVERY profession.

cloak is the most powerful tool in a pvp squads inventory - it is not used to run, it is used to apply your force at the best time in the best place. also for spying, scouting and a million other things. it is not an mpowers skill, it is powers 0400. you need both a lesson in what a jedi is, and how to pvp imo. did you by any chance respec to bh? you sure have no idea how to pvp.

if you actually read what i wrote you'd see that i said mpowers for area intim + cloak. also i stated that the only legitimate use is for running into groups and applying your force at the best time. to spy you are better off using a neutral/opposite faction alt or just having a spy in an opposite faction guild. did you by any chance respec to half-assed forum troll? you sure have no idea how to read or troll a post.
