but have you ever seen a tkm solo a mls/mdef without healing once? i didnt think so. try this template if you want but im sticking with my opinon that defense alone wont save you.
Couple of points...
1)TKA's weapons suck (srry tka) katarn fully sliced is a below average weapon.. and cannot craft anything nasty either
Commondo has the most powerfull MINIMUM weapons possible in the game... and MINIMUM damage is what PVP is based on.
2) Many people just go tka for x1xx and say it makes a huge differnce in tanking (ICOB rocks)
With MBH Mcomando the weapon stats and defence is better then my MCM MBH Carb x4XX (and i have soloed full temp master defenders/sabers)
base stats:
(combined general +weapon) MBH MCM CarbX4XX MBH Mcomando TKA 21XX
ACC 200 205
SPD 70 105
MELEE DEF 175 250
As you can see stats for damage go to the commando...
Now add on the fact that plasma does hell of min imum damage (for pvp) has + 140+ heat (for pvp) , and causes fire DOT damage.
This temp will hit hard in damage....
With 1050 I think it will tank better then any master defender (I believe afull temp master defender with enhacers and maxed tapes going has a defence at around 850.... this is no where close tothe 1050 defense )
Now the thing is you cannot heal (but ruby and stims are not bad at all, expecially with your defense)
You also get to add +500 to heath from power boost.
With this defense and dealing around 1000 dmg (adv critical / torso) each hit to even a master defender (this is what you would get with a good plasma) now add free DOTS
Hell I conviced myself ... I will grind it out .... to bad the exp changed!!!

other temps i tried with MBH/MC are pistols 0-0-0-4 for the root and good overall melee and ranged def
or...MBH/MC with 0-2-4-0 medic....the heals are nice but it wasnt really my play style....or....
my current temp which is MBH/MCommando/pistols0-0-0-1(root, small root but root nonetheless)/smuggler 0-0-1-0(FD and concussion).....this temp is very fun to play with solid defenses and strong attacks....commando is underated.....against jedi i have about a 30% success rate which sux but i scare the crap outta most of em before they figure out i have no heals

That accurcy and speed is pretty good. And most import PVP is based of MINIMUM dmg!
Aproton rifle with dmg slice and good pup can have a min damage of 899
so 899 x 1.9 for Adv Crit= 1708 actual dmg vs jedi before armor absob.
Right now my carb has min dmg of 600 with 34.45%% dmgpup
and hits jedi for about 1140 before absorb with Adv critical (which is minimum)
Now imagine being able to tank and get jedi to miss... plus an extra 600 damageper shot.
Also bet a crafted plama with new loot will get over 900 min damage if you crafted it right.
900 min dmg?
