Thread: Does anyone not DB a Jedi if they don't fight back?

Kill em all! Well i dont always DB, i allow them the option of paying me off, assuming they dont get away. I don't smack talk, and smack talkers i do actively look for and will take the cheapest way possible. I expect nothing different from other BH's that hunt my Jedi. However i would never DB a Jedi who was my same faction, unles it's a known guild that allows such ilk to join them. It all boils down to what your personal preferences are, do what you enjoy, it's your dime man.

This person explained her disgust for bounty hunters as a whole because they'd do something like this. Well, she and I had a fight the day prior and when I ran her out of force she suppressed me, got on a bike, and entered a guild hall. I just couldn't catch up on my old pos machine.

So when she asked why I did it I explained that I don't typically show much mercy when I've technically won a fight. She said I didn't win, she ran out of force. I said, that's typically how I win fights. She didn't like the answer much but I was being completely truthful.I've killed 2 others who weren't at the keyboard but those people mopped the floor with me as I was trying to learn ranged and bh before I caught em snoozin.

Anyway, I know how frustrating it can be to lose a fight on your jediunder cheap circumstances. I had a bh call in a swordsman to help him kill me because I was overt and it ticked me off pretty bad butI never go afk without getting into space, a house, or jumping on a speeder while I hit the bathroom. Heck, I used to offer to let people pay me 200k till people abused it too often.

Am I wrong here? Anyone agree with this lady? I know the majority of the bh's here won't but I thought it'd make for good discussion. If you feel it's wrong tell us why.

I haven't hunted Jedi since school started up again, and I was in the middle of changing my template, so I probably won;t again until maybe a week or two from now. But whenever I did get Jedi that was AFK, I always would DB them. Not because I'm a jerk, but because they're just not smart, staying on while they know they have high vis. In the long run it helps them learn to be more careful.

As for draining their force, that's how it works. Most BHs can't outdamage Jedi heals, so we need to drain force in order to ware them out. That's simply how it goes.

you did nothing wrong. I get that all the time from jedi. "you ran me out of force you did not win." or

" i ran because i had no force or i would have killed you" lol that one makes me laugh the most. If you just

fought me for a full force bar then how the hell are you going to kill me if you had force? Why did you not

kill me when the fight started and you are at full force? Or my all time fav. "You did not win. I ran from you."

Sorry if you run and log off thats a win in my book. yes i did not get payed and you did not lose XP but LOL

you ran from me and logged off.

I say congratz. a kill is a kill.

My favorite one was when I dropped this imp jedi who was inside a rebel pve base fighting reb npcs. I dropped him so easily. Then the flaming began. How Im a coward for attacking him during pvp.

There have been several jedi that I didn't DB not for a payment or a reward, but kind of a reward for not pulling of some of the cheap jedi tactics I see alot. I can list several names but I won't. But I've also been in a bad mood from cloakers etc, or whatever and I know I've killed at least one AFK jedi he didn't have AFK up but he didn't put up much of a fight and appeared to have some macros running for force aura and infusion.

I've also shot a jedi twice and almost had them incapped and backed off to let them gain their bearings because I really enjoy the sport of hunting jedi... But if you are a newb jedi, with a 51k payout on the terminals, and I incap you quickly I've also db'd them just to do them a favor.

I dunno, you have to look at it how you want, if jedi could hunt us afk or not they would most certainly DB as a matter of fact after all the mercy I've shown I don't think it's been returned to me, so I guess the decision is yours and you really shouldn't care how anyone else feels, if you are an afk jedi running macros whatever then you should have logged out, I mean I understand that you can't expect to log out everytime you step up, but jedi can't expect for BH to patiently wait for them to return especially with all the afk/house hiding/root runners/cloakers... We are just a blood thirsty bunch.

Just do what your conscience can handle and remember this is a very small world and the ones you hunt you may end up relying on later.

If the jedi gets vis and does a stupid thing as go AFK or LD because they are to lazy to find a safe place to do that...then so be it. Kill them LD, AFK, or PVP'ing. Most jedi will say they don't care if they get vis, but will cry when they get ganked.

As for jedi running when they run out of force, I would do the same. I like it when they get their force back up and start the poo talk. I like to make them log after they do that. ....if I were to tell a jedi that they didn't win and that I just ran out of action/mind/health..how dumb would that sound?

Some jedi would even complain about the forced PVP. The solution is simple, don't get vis. Many jedi were able to keep themselves off the terms PreCU, why not do the same post. From experience though, the ebay'd jedi are the ones to complain with a passion. They just spent hundreds of bucks for an account, guess I would complain also.

Had a jedi tell me that he was going to report me for stalking him....I about pee'd myself when he said that. I was able to kill him when he went LD a few weeks later.

I find no fun in fighting a non responding ennemy....

It happened to me only twice, and both time, i didn't DB.

Once, the LD sign appeared (he never replied to any of my attacks, so he was LD before i attacked him). I waited a little.... He came back online, still incapped and not understanding what was happening... he stood up after a while, saw me next to him.... and told me "errr, thanks for not DBing me".... "If i want easy fight and money, i'll only hunt nunas and black sun fighters".... I attacked again when he was full health again. I lost but he didn't killed me either and thanked me again for the fight.

The second time it happened to me, the guy was AFK.... I usually have no mercy with those kind of players that go AFK in the middle of nowhere. But i choose not to DB him this time. As he told me when he was back, he had to fly away form keyboard very fast because his baby was crying... And i had a proof of it with the next tell that was like "if you want you vaznpfjprozqmoihgrez!!,cedsqlijhnmdez"
"xcuse me again, baby was typing"

So no, i don't DB jedis if they don't fight back. I'm not looking for dead jedis neither for money (i got enough), i'm looking for funand good fights

Well that was not very gentleman like of you. Nor, was it honorable. Killing someonewhen they aren't there. Yes it was not smart on here part, but come on. What do you hunt for money, fun, pure hatred for jedi. Because it most certainly isn't honour.

As for her running, if she is fully temp. Then, that's not cool. Running where is the honour in that.

For myself, honour is something i value greatly so if a bh come up to me and started to fight me and i run out of force, will if i cant win or even fight without it then, i will kneel down andface my defeat with honour. Just like Obi-Wan, when he fought Vader.

Well I posted this here for conversation mostly. I'd personally rather take a payoff than deathblow someone but I do it for 3 reasons.

  • Faction

  • PVP

  • Money

Faction: Now I've only killed one Jedi below 200k and I killed him twice and enjoyed it because I don't care much for smack talkers. So my argument for hunting and killing based on faction may seem lame to some as they're already full template but we all know how little opportunity there is to represent your faction currently. I don't hunt Imps so take that for what it's worth. I was hunted daily pre curb by an insane power hammer by a rebel who only hunted Imperials and got 6 million in the hole for which I still haven't recovered. He was simply unbeatable. I hate grinding.Perhaps that's how my conscience justifies killing people who don't want to pvp and happen to be rebels. Perhaps you could add revenge to the list.

PVP: You ask if I hate Jedi? No way. I play my bh and Jedi equally timewise and I pvp with both. I don't run missions for fun, I log in my Jedi and look for people to go fight with. If that doesn't go well I go hunting on my Bounty Hunter. Now if someone doesn't fight back (The basis of this post) well I move on to my 3rd reason.

Money: I could just be Mr Nice guy and not make any money, but I require money to support my pvp habits and if I can pick up 200k on a kill, I take it. As I mentioned before, if someone offers me money for a payout I'll take it but they've gotta offer it now. Too many people took advantage of my generosity. Any rebel Jedi on Flurry reading this, if you see me coming tip 200k and I'll turn tail and let you do what you wanna do. If you wanna test the waters and wait for the first incap, even better, but you better make your intentions on a payout known quickly. Yeah I could go run regular BH missions but if I did that I feel as though I may be playing Xbox and not SWG.

As far as the poster I quoted, I wouldn't take a death. I'd do exactly what the lady in my original post did and do everything to get away. What I wouldn't do in her position is expect mercy when my dumb arse steps afk.
