LOL your argument is as primitive as a 3 year old child. Your best reasoning so far is "I am right and you are wrong". I wouldnt mind hearing your argument except for the fact that have produced no hard evidence of it being an exploit. You cannot even prove that its not intended. Your argument is weak and your ego is what fuels it. Why should I listen to you? Your not a dev, you dont know any devs and you have never talked to a dev. Im just curious how you know so much about their intentions.

Think about the command /duel. What does the word "duel" mean? Does it mean "Find out if a bounty hunter has your mission"? No.

I find it humorous to fly around Dantooine looking for babies to tame and get a lot of /duel /endduels from the Jedi I see and don't see. One even cloak followed me around. I guess I spent too much time in one general area because two Jedi sent me tells asking me if I wouldn't mind getting the fight over with. I didn't know taming babies could cause such paranoia in people.
wow...those jedi must be pretty desperate not to lose xp...or want to get back to their...get my full template in a week attitue =/ lol
seems to me i took jedi months to get full temp pre-CU under normal grinding ( no geo caves...endor 0,0 ect )

For someone thats posting a lot in this thread your actually contributing absolutely nothing, quite clear to me you have nothing to contribute either.
No doubt you'll come back with some witty answer about how I contributed nothing either, or some other pointless childish/witty remark. ![]()

actually it is clearly stated by SOE that anything used in any other way than it was meant to be to give anadvantage to a player is condidered an exploit
i do not care that you seem to think that this is not an exploit because it clearly is
by you refering to how other BH's actually exploited it before the CU shows that it is the same as what is happening now
instead of complaining about before CU and now using the same trick now just shows you do not care if you get an advantage but if a BH has a step up on(using an exploit)you feel the same way as us with the current duel exploit
just because someone doesnt say it is an exploit doesnt mean it isnt
and just because some BHs exploited before the CU doesnt mean all of us did
lastly it sounds like the duel trick doesnt even help you because your attitude suggests you get beat a lot

Or D: Its intended, see whats funny is that you BH complain about the /duel thing but pre CU there were tons of BH using the old duel exploit against Jedi rendering them unable to return attacks to the bounty hunter that had his mission. I think its funny you guys cry about it now that the table is turned. I find it satisfying. And I slay BH's by the masses.
ROFL ..........you might kill the nooblet bounty hunters that go after you , but if i recall when i went after you , you ran like a chicken with its head cut off and went for a pile of kimogilas that killed you and db you then you logged like a true jedi , besides dont kid your self, if you know about the bh exploits before the CU it was because you were a bh , not a good one at that because you would exploit and still couldnt kill anything , unless a jedi was already incapped or unbuffed

Ok so wheres your "hard" evidence of it "not" being an exploit. Where is your proof that it is intended. His argument is just as weak as yours you dont have to listen as clearly you dont anyways.... either bring up some proof to your theory of this /duel "exploit" is intended by the Dev's and indeed not as it really seems.
"Using a game mechanic in a way that wasnt intended for it to be used and to give yourself an unfair advantage"
Above being the definition of an "exploit" and you'll see that using the command to initiate a friendly fight between yourself and another player <intended use> to let yourself know whether a bounty hunter is after you or not <hardly intended use> actually fits into this category now......
Unless you have some groundbreaking proof that can render MY statement invalid..... then do us all a favour shut your mush and go back to the Jedi forums.

I was almost completely out of force, you stuck at a perfect oportunity. But like a true Jedi I was resourcfull. I am not a Jedi you have collected on, either you collect or you dont.

Go back to the jedi forums? Last time I checked my station account permits me acces to all swg forums. If you think you have more right to post here because your a BH you are highly mistaken.

To add to me being a BH, Bhing is not about the fight, if you want to PVP go special forces. Bhing is about collecting. I could duel very well and was able to defeat alot of Jedi Pre CU, but fighting jedi just wasent my style. I collected on alot of knights infact i almost collected on knights exclusivly. Back then a normal profession could not beat a Jedi knight in a duel. Well towards the end of the glory days when the ADK'ed PSG's got popular you could but definatlty not if you were ranged. I had to use shady tactics and it was fun. I have no problem with BH's being ..well ...BH's but my argument here is weather the /duel thing is an exploit or not.

personal semantics aside: The definition of an exploit is, as defined countless times by Developers and in the Terms of Service:"using an existing game mechanic or bug in a way that is not intended for personal gain"
Im 100% positive (no 'i thinks' here) that the "intended use" of the /duel command was NOT to tell a Jedi weather or not a Bounty hunter had his mission.
SO this /duel 'tactic' is, by definition, and exploit. Just as much as what Pre-CU bounty hunters did, just as much as credit dupers, just as much as Area DB. They're all Exploits. period.
now, please continue to banter on about whoever is the better BH or w/e u people are up to.

i remember how fun it was to just go up to jedi and /duel challenge them with my mbh tag up and scatter pistol equipped, and then see them eat food and jedi buff and what not.

Ok well Im not positive. And your not a dev so you dont decide.
