there's no point to the smuggler portions. The only way smugglers would enjoy this if is smugglers could smuggle and it gave them vis.

Exactly. There needs to be a legit reason for smugglers to show up on the terms. Lucas Arts and SOE seem to be bound and determined to add jedi content before smuggling missions that were promised over a year ago. Therefore, I hate to say it, but even though those are some nice ideas, it will never happen. Smuggler based content is very low priority it seems.
