This is a proposed 'mini-game within a game' that draws from many good ideasof other posts as well as original concepts. This fantasy publish creates an interesting relationship between elements of the underworld and the ever hunted Jedi.

Visibility



  • Visibility will now be a value rank that, upon threshold, will cause a player to appear on the bounty hunter terminals.

  • Smugglers and bounty hunters can now generate visibility on the bounty hunter terminals in addition to Jedi.

  • The visibility value of the player will be represented by a descriptive based onseveral thresholds: Nobody, Conspicuous, Wanted, Fugitive, and Notorious.

  • Wanted, Fugitive, and Notorious visibility rank will cause the player to appear on the bounty hunter terminals.

  • Notorious visibility rank players are at extraordinary risk and may be attacked by boss NPC bounty hunters.

  • If the player does not generate additional visibility, this number will properly decrease over time.

  • A friendly grouped smuggler can attempt to Size Up aplayer to determine current visibility rank via a radial menu option.

Smuggler Profession


  • Smugglers can attempt to slice players temporarily off the bounty hunter terminals. Depending on the success of the slice, the player bounty mission may be removed from bounty terminal for 1-3 days.

  • Players with Notorious visibility ranking will not be able to be sliced off the bounty hunter terminals.

  • Slicing bounty hunterterminals will require Slicing IV. A slight bonus for master smuggler will increase the chance of a successful bounty hunter terminal slice.

  • A Terminal Slicing Deck is required for slicing bounty hunter terminals which will allow the smuggler to browse the bounty hunter terminal and view playermissions names. The Terminal Slicing Deck will be a limited use loot kit item requiring several loot drop components.

  • Slicing players off bounty hunter terminals will be risky. If the smuggler fails an attempt to slice a bounty hunter terminal, the smuggler will generate visibility himself.

  • Asmuggler that failsa bountyhunter terminal slice willbe unable to attemptto slice that specific player bounty off the terminals for24 hours.

  • Even a master smuggler will endure relative risk when attempting to slice a bounty hunter terminal.

  • New Ability: Size Up which requires Underworld IV allows a smuggler to attempt to determine the grouped player’s current visibility rank

  • A failed Size Up check will generate the smuggler visibility on the bounty hunter terminals.

Bounty Hunter Profession


  • If a bounty hunter fails a player bounty mission the bounty hunter will generate visibility on the bounty hunter terminal.

  • Player bounties that appear on the bounty hunter terminals will now include player Jedi, smugglers, and other bounty hunters.

  • All player Jedi bounty payouts will function as they do now. Smuggler and bounty hunter bonus payouts will be based upon their visibility ranking. For example, a "Wanted" Smuggler will be worth an additional 100k bonus credits upon a successful bounty mission.

If I have to I'll drop this in the smuggler, bh, and jedi forums, but I wanted feedback.

Wow.... that would be cool as hell. I really liked these ideas and don't really forsee negatives to them... but maybe I'm just too blown away. We need the opinion of someone that is a little more objectional.

Sounds cool, hopefully something along these lines is already in concept though, us bounty hunters and those of us who choose to be a smuggler have been looking forward to such a system for quite some time now.
