Thread: Why would I stop to fight you?

I agree with Skullblood, but also to add a bit to it...
The viz system is completely screwed, and tho some may say it clears, I can attest that it doesn't always automatically clear.
As many in my guild can attest to, I have rarely done anything with our guildmates lately, as right now, I am stuck on my laggy laptop (my main computer is still in shipment coming from Germany).Most of my time is spent chilling out in my PA hall, decorating, or just chatting. So any viz I do get in the odd time I go do a quest run, I should work off by staying hidden for awhiles. But it doesn't clear for me. Heck, I was completely offline for a month while moving, and getting resettled in, and within an hour of logging in for the first time in a month, I had a BH coming for me...so 3 weeks my butt!
I still get 4 to 5 bh visits a day, do matter what I do. Last week, a BH came during a guild meeting, after the meeting, I figured hell, why not fight, die and get off the terms, then they'll leave me alone for awhile. So I died, and went back to chilling in my PA hall... and not even an hour later, here comes a two BH team screaming for my head. Today, I died again...and still, 15minutes later, another bh come bee-bopping along, so still...my Viz has not cleared...
So because of this, I think this whole "you knew the risks, you chose to be hunted" bullcrap is exactly that... bullcrap.
I chose to take the risks, yes....providing the risks weren't all going to be completely borked in the enemy's favor!

lol obviously YOU wuoldn't stop to fight, with a record that bad I can see why 
But TBH most full template jedi don't hacve much to do in game but PvP, so thats why they figth bounty hunters.
Most jedi I know get vis just so bounty hunters can come and get them

As Jedi I generally just run. Can't be arsed most of the times.
As BH I ofcourse hate it when they run
But yeah there's absolute nothing in it for the Jedi hence why most people just run which seems fair enough to me.
Now if they actually added somekind of a reward for killing the BH like say half the bounty then I'm sure it would be more enjoyable for the most part. Let alone have some purpose.

245 skill points invested eh? So how come the rest of teh Jedi in the game only get 226? what makes you so special?

i have no problem with jedi running. i have a problem with jedi who come to the forums of all places whining about it. If your not gonna fight OKAY. dont fight. dont try and justify it on the forums where 95% of us will never see you (different server and what not) and we will just get mad b/c u whine.

there is no reason to fight besides fun. nothing like beating a guy into submission and giving him the option to leave or die. 
if you lose so much then obviously youneed to work on learning your template better and if its your weapon then maybe you need to devote 110% of your time into getting pearls. gl with that.

So now tell me why I should fight you? I am not saying that skills should be removed, but it is seriously all BH in the BH - Jedi fight. Now those of you that call Jedia "noob" or "newb" or whatever makes you feel good. Saying that won't make me mad and stop and fight you. Am Inew guy? Or am I educated on the Pros/cons and not going to waste my time on you. And if I am such a newbie or whatever you want to call me, why can't you kill me?
I've been Jedi for at least a year and may also ask why I want to be Jedi if all that bad against me. I amJedi because it's cool.Besides players that have no skills able to fight me with no problem is way inbalanced......no really I am like 1 for 300. I don't want to win all the time, that ain't fun....that is boring. I should definitely have a chance since I am supposed to be 1.5 times tougher than you. Does this all make sense? I like to hear your feedback, is there something I am missing? Be constructive on your feedback, I like to see how green that grass is on your side.

Sorry I didnt read all the replies, and I only read half of your post.
But in answer to the topic subject. How about the fact that it's just a game, and for pride's sake. I dont know about you but if I had to spend all my time running, I wouldnt bother with that particular profession.

I have to admit that I met my first truly "Honorable" Jedi the other day. I was to anxious to fight and probably could have waited for a better location to strike! But sometimes you just want the kill and want it now! Anyway this jedi proceeded to wipe the floor with me, LOL I mean really wipe the floor. Then he sent the first tell "good fight man"! I said are you crazy that was a terrible performance on my part, he said "nah you tried that was the main thing a lot of bh's will not strike me they'll just stand there". This comming from a jedi?? So we had a few friendly duels. Not a bad encounter...

Too clear up those who are heading off subject. I put "Off terms (if I lose, but I lose xp)"....go read that again and don't ignore what is in the parens right after the statement. 2nd I said have 245 skill points "invested" to Jedi -- 221 for Jedi and 24 to Force Sensitive (which you need to have Jedi), so I have 245 invested for Jedi. Yes FS is not Jedi, but it is skill points I invested to Jedi.
And Isee another reason why BH's get such hate /tells......seems a few posting BH want to have the feeling that they are some god of BH by saying "noob" or "you suck" or try to point out someone wrong. Imagine if you invested your wastefull life by posting something worth reading.....ie...constructive feedback.

You are very calm and collected about this, my hat off to you. It's a nice change. And I do agree that there are little reason for the Jedi to stay and fight. But the Cons you listed,a lotof them are just plain inaccurate. Let me comment:
"2 vs 1 possible (2 BH vs 1 Jedi)" - Granted, it is possible for 2 BH's to come after you (just takes a while to do it), but this is not a reason for you to not stay and fight when ONE hunter comes after you.
"BH's ability to stack multi professions" - And Jedi aren't? Enhancer, Defender, Powers, etc. are all "subprofessions" of Jedi with different attacks and mods for defence and offence, just like regular professions. Only difference is, BH's HAVE to have BH as one of their professions, and then have 4-5 to choose from as their second (The ranged professions and CM. Who is a melee BH nowadays?). Then there are the dabblers of many professions, but they are very uncommon.
"BH's ability to use other players (Master Squad Leader, etc.)" - And Jedi are ableto as well. Difference here is, BH's can choose when and where to attack and bring the SL with them, giving them and advantage. Very true.
"MCM / BH is not fair" - I don't need to comment this one.
"BH element of surprise (not a biggie unless you're grinding and low on force)" - This just shows that you are running out of placeholders for the cons list. And furthermore, this is one of the only advantages BH's have.
If you don't think you will kill the guytrying to killyou, run. That's justification enough in my eyes. Sure, it will irritate me to no end, but I wil sure enough understand the reason. Just don't come bringing false reasons for it. And in all seriousness, maybe you should choose a less PvP oriented profession since you don't seem to be the kind of person that would appreciate it, or be good at it. And about the 1.5 times stronger part, that is just statistics. It doesn't necessarily have to be that way for every player. I'm sure there are people fast and skilled enough to be 2x stronger, as well a less talented people **edit** aren't stronger at all.
Keep in mind that this is not a flame directed towards you or any other Jedi, but everything isn't for everyone. I would like to be able to ride motorcykles fast through cities, but I lack the reflexes and the fearless mind to do so.
