Thread: Why would I stop to fight you?

I am Jedi (with 245 Skill points invested) and wonder why BH's always ask why I run. I'll tell you why.......there is no benefit for me, except to say I beat you. I've had at least 300 BH visits and for your enjoyment, I've only beat one.....don't remember who it was, but wish I did so you could torment him. Ok so here is my gripe if I do pick to stay and fight let me list what pro's and con's are:


Pro's

Bragging Rights

Off terms (if I lose, but I lose xp)


Con's

BH Bragging Rights

Jedi XP loss (if the Jedi loses)

No payout (BH's get the largest msn payout)

More Visbility

2 vs 1 possible (2 BH vs 1 Jedi)

BH's ability to stack multi professions

BH's ability to use other players (Master Squad Leader, etc.)

MCM / BH is not fair

BH element of surprise (not a biggie unless you're grinding and low on force)


So now tell me why I should fight you? I am not saying that skills should be removed, but it is seriously all BH in the BH - Jedi fight. Now those of you that call Jedia "noob" or "newb" or whatever makes you feel good. Saying that won't make me mad and stop and fight you. Am Inew guy? Or am I educated on the Pros/cons and not going to waste my time on you. And if I am such a newbie or whatever you want to call me, why can't you kill me?


I've been Jedi for at least a year and may also ask why I want to be Jedi if all that bad against me. I amJedi because it's cool.Besides players that have no skills able to fight me with no problem is way inbalanced......no really I am like 1 for 300. I don't want to win all the time, that ain't fun....that is boring. I should definitely have a chance since I am supposed to be 1.5 times tougher than you. Does this all make sense? I like to hear your feedback, is there something I am missing? Be constructive on your feedback, I like to see how green that grass is on your side.

Embarrassing, but true. That is no exageration. I have no problem dueling other players either, when it comes to a BH/MCM (98% of my visits) I have no chance.

Well whatever you want to say about being horrible or not able to stand up. The point is, most Jedi are not going to stay and fight. Especially since there is an xp loss. I know there are few BH that have Jedi, but until you lose xp....you won't understand. I can bet that alot of BH get alot of negative tells, but then again I am sure if we made you lose xp.....you'd be the same way. Remove the xp loss, I am sure the hate tells (as trying to be hurtfull, not roleplay) will reduce. Now focus on the Subject, "why would I stop to fight you?", instead of how much help my Jedi needs.

almost a year and still grinding lol maybe u should just pick another proffesion.,

Not me grinding in particular.....Jedi overall. Plus if I want to change my template.....not like I have xp laying around, I have to go grind it.

THis is true. I'm off the tems and it's boring as hell. There's no content and you cant do jack without getting back on the terms.


I've only been killed 3 times but that's becuase I've been smart and have mastered the art of escaping.


THe poster is 100% right, there is absolutely no reason to stay and fight a BH. XP loss per kill for me = about 4 or 5 hours of re-grinding.


People say I knew I would be hunted when I became a Jedi, and I accept that, but since I have alot to lose from a BH death, It's simply not worth the risk. Why should I fight?

dont see anyone whining. He's simply answering a question every BH seems to ask when you run.


Consider it answered and no need to ask the next BH who runs WHY he's runing.

Actually, no, you're not off the terminals when you win.


See, when you fight a BH, your visibility increases. While doing a /deathblow on a bounty hunter with your mission does clear any other missionsthat a bounty hunter may have taken on you fromthat set, it does not remove you from the terminals at all, because your visibility is still above the threshold. That means a new set of missions will be generated and will be available to bounty hunters.


So the only 'pro' to standing and fighting is bragging rights, which just isn't worth it.
