Thread: Is this an exploit?

What about this one...

Since a Jedi and/or BH can enter a duel while the BHTEF is on.....

Is it possible to have the Jedi enter a duel with a friend, and have another friend heal the Jedi?

The BH TEF disallows any help from outside sources during a confrontation. BUT.... a duel does not. If the duel is initiated AFTER the Jedi gets TEF'd does the duel cancel out the BH TEF and allow them to be healed? Would this work vice versa with the BH? I can't understand why they can't just stop the possibility of entering a duel with the BF TEF is active.... It's not that hard. It's an IF/THEN statement in the coding...

Although someone in a different post had a good idea about why it takes so long.... He said that nothing that hurts a Jedi will happen quickly, and the example was: It took the devs less than one month to remove tracking droid functionality from Kashyyyk, but it took them over 4 months to remove the "enter house while TEF'd" exploit from Jedi.

It's probably NOT true but it is an interesting idea that about the devs having a predisposition to the Jedi and no other class.

I dont think it is really an exploit. It is cheap, but you still have the mission so just go camp the cloner where he cloned to. Now if you lost the mission due to the db i would consider it an exploit since it wasn't u who recieved credit for his death.

Your advice on clone camping is invalid due to the fact that when I cloned, I cloned at a distant force shrine to avoid that problem. Like I said I know all the tricks.

That is a good point, But most of the jediI encounter that are smart enough to clone to a shrine, are uausally the ones that put up the fight and dont run to a friend and have them bail them out.

Sadly, I don't think this is an exploit. The Bounty Hunter TEF that gets applied when battle is initiated by either the BH or the Jedi prevents the BH and Jedi from entering player structures and ejects them from player structures if it is applied while the BH/Jedi is in such a structure (Publish 20 notes). That is the only effectof the BH TEF, as far as I could tell, going back to the CU in April. I agree that once the BH TEF is applied, no one should be able to affect either player until the TEF is gone. I'd go so far as to say that all /tells, /invite, /duel, etc. commands would ignore the player with a BH TEF. This shouldn't be THAT hard, since they did it all for the GCW TEF and the GuildWar TEF.

Friend you keep repeating this...

As I pointed out in another thread you have taken this completely out of context of the TOS of this game...

You need to reread the entire TOS and not just slice and cut the parts to suit your needs...

In no way is this taken out of context if you read it, as I have there is no rebuttal to be made here this Contradicts

the hole BH / JEDI system.

So if they stay and put up a fight and even if they lose why would they need to worry about their clone location?

Why would this matter to you O'etam. You don't stay and fight so stop flaming...hehehe.

Hi Ivoiv,

This is Jakber from Sunrunner and I pride myself on being an honourable BH and thank you for the complement. If you look at my previous post you will see the name of the jedi that pulled the friend db trick on me. It wasn't so much the trick he pulled but the tells afterwards I recieved like "hahaha you suck", "hahaha noob". Thats why I am upset because I pride myself in being honourable and friendly to all those I fight. I always send an apology whether I win or lose. In the past three days I have had a jedi /banktip me one million credits for being honourable, had another give me a superior weapon worth in the millions.

This is a game and to berate someone, call them names and just be a plain child about it, and especially when they used an unintended game play really is wrong on all levels. Just because one can hide behind a computer screen doesnt mean their isn't another person on the other side.

I will even check with my jedi friends to make sure that a jedi I am hunting isn't in their group, so I actually drop more missions than I take. And those jedi that know me, are similiar to you Iviov, and have the same comments, I am honourable. Some BH's though think I am a disgrace to the BH name. Anyways, thanks for the vote of confidence.

Simple solution, BH TEF's overrides duels and any other tefs (such as guild war), that way no other players can attack a bounty under any circumstances. Also /duels should be disabled during combat, to prevent people from exploding the stasis bug.

Hahaha... that's because it is in his signature. He isn't slicing and cutting "to suit his needs", it pops up on EVERY post he posts. You need to look at a few more of his posts and you'll realize this... "friend".
