BH's are supposed to be INVESTIGATORS, not everything you NEED to know is given out by the terms and your droids, you need to do some of the investigating yourself. Again, don't hunt in player cities, there are plenty of opportunity to hunt us OUTSIDE of cities, in the field, in the NPC cities, etc.
oh yeah, because BH's get the names at the terminals an have weeks to case their target and follow them around hidden from their view to watch their behaviors.

There is absolutely no INVESTIGATION involved in BH'ing any more. There is a way point to a fight. If you don't roll up on them fast before they run into their house you lose any opportunity you would have had to get them. Telling me to investigate my opponent is stupid, 50% of the time I don't get a name for my mark. There is no cool ingame interface to Investigate anyone. I just go to the terminal, get my mission, hope he isn't in a house orin space, lanuch a probe droid, go get buffed, go to the mark's planet, check wherehe is at on the planet and if he is in a player city I try to decide if I want to take the chance and get him house sitting by spooking him.

The game doesn't allow us to do what you say for 3 reasons. 1: no way to shadow or follow a mark without being seen. 2: no information source to tell me anything about my mark. 3: Hardly even get names half the time.

So, I get to stumble my way up to a jedi and jump off my bike taking them by some semblance fo suprise and hope I win the fight.

I cant believe the "suck it up princess" profession is still whining about city bans. No one said BH should be an easy proffession, you knew no one was going to appreciate you being around when you chose it. you want the power, now you have the consequences. 3 very common lines tossed at jedi who complain about being hunted, that just seem appropriate to this situation.

Anyone with militia has the right to ban anyone in their city, regardless of reason. it can be for character race, color of clothing, faction, level of GCW participation(sf), shady dealings in the past, killing jedi, being a tard, riding a cupa......etc, there are no csr that should be stupid enough to try to interfere, there would be no dev's who would care, and any csr that tried to interfere with a cityban should be removed from SOE's lists of copy/paste experts asap. Its my city, I helped build it, I help run it, I have militia for that reason, and if I dont want you there for whatever reason, bye bye. I cant remove you from it, but i can prevent you from using public services(you do realize that your considered a criminal(or barely removed from being one))

I was banned in a city when I was pulling Aa'kuan Champion missions from the terminal.
a few jedi came up to me and asked 'why I was faking pulling missions'
I answered with, "I AM pulling missions"
'yeah right' one jedi said and I got a cityban.
just because someone has mastered BH it means he's a "MBH on a mission" ?
not, those ppl are so paranoid/afraid they should quit playing immediately.
A Bounty Hunter is doing EXACTLY what he's supposed to do.
hunt jedi and/or NPCs apart from the normal gaming/grinding of course.
Jedi should complain to the DEVS (they programmed it) and not the players, but it's easy to blame someone for a mistake they made themselves.
When I get banned for no reason I submit a Harassment Ticket.
Some bans have been lifted after that and few players have gotten themselves into trouble with the CSR.
It's the way of BH Life.
I would suggest the DEVS if shopkeepers ban ppl to visit their vendors they should remove/block the Advertising skills of the owner as well.
I do recommend if you have a (jedi) alt not to expose it -if possible- to everyone. That way you can shop vendors with the alt instead of the Bounty Hunter.

Call BS on this one.

No one can get in trouble banning you from their personal city. I want to see screenshots of the CSR email stating so.

You choose to attack people. If those people turn around and ban you, that is their choice. They are doing EXACTLY what their earned skills allow them to do.

If they choose to stop any player, guild, or a certain profession to stop using their city services, they have ultimate authority. No CSR can do anything about that.

Well it's like this would you rather be banned from a city? or the old Milita TEF comes back? Where all of sudden you have at least 10-15 people that is on the milita and one bans you or city warned and you have the entire group after you? and still be banned from using a city shuttle, vendors? I mean the choice is yours, also turn off your tag or change it, usually mbh as a tag or any of the stuff under mbh would bring up a ? to those in that city.

FWIW: the syntax is actually rather simple. For guild entry/ban it's Guild:guildtag where guildtag is ... well, ... their tag. For faction, it's Faction:factioname where factionname is imperial or rebel.

Okay, I just keep forgetting it =P Thanks though, this time I'll write it into /notepad so I won't lose it...

in general, you don't sell supplies to your enemy, because chances are, he'll turn around and kill you with it.

Thats just wrong. Even if the OP hunted his own Faction, so what? What if he's an RP'er and believes that All Jedi are enemies of the Emperor? Would that be cause to be banned?

So what if the vendors just RP and ban this guy, Being a BH has more sides then just collecting cash from your victims.

I'm a Jedi....and I just knowingly waded into battle against 14 opponents, alone, of course I was killed, then insulted, they spammed their celebrations, and they teabagged me....AND citybanned me....I'm asking the two, maybe three people in this thread who are against BH's being citybanned...was it improper in this case? or only when it happens to you? just curious

No, thats pure grief. Not only had you been Gang bang banked, insulted plus they had to squeeze that childish cityban into the mix.

And this the way cityban is being used on all servers. They do it cause they can. Wheres the reason behind banning you? Were you a threat? No..

Its being used in childish manners used as a tool to grief people when words dont cut it.

sadly, I find words being used more frequently to grief when mechanics don't cut it. cityban has its place...victory dances, hate tells, and "teabagging" in particular are far more abusive than any mechanic ever implemented in this game.
