my modded speed is 1.3
*checked in game, my modded speed is actually 1.34*

I find that funding my own research answers my questions about heavy weapons better than the Weaponsmith's forums. At least for Heavy Weapons, this is becuase most weaponsmiths fail to see the beauty of Heavy Weapons. Anyways, pay some weaponsmith 50K or so to make a cheap PFT and pour all of his/her experimentation into the speed. Then you'll have an answer, and if you wish, you could even post on the weaponsmith's boad. I just find it surprising that out of all the weaponsmiths in all the galaxies, not ONE has tested caps on Elemental damage and speed on Heavy Weapons and posted them.

Yeah, mine has stated a modified speed of as low as 1.34 as well, but using a macro which breaks time readings into tenths of a second and timing the true lapse between a macr'os start and the first command's execution, and then timing the actual cooldown between attacks has allowed me to optimize my combat macros, and in addition, has led me to a rather firm belief that we have a hard cap in place, regardless of stated speeds. My Heavy weapons speed is 160 atm, so busting out some impressive modified speeds I can do, I've been finding however, as have some of my Jedi friends, that things are not as they seem when it comes to themodified speed listed on weapons.

I thought the original poster was looking for a crafting cap, not a modded cap.

Yes, im looking for the crafted cap. I know mine came out at 2.84 and with a 12% speed slice its at 2.50. I will try and find a weaponsmith who can make me one all out in speed just to see what they can get.

Is the speed cap on all weapons 1.0 and is it the same with a pup or not?.

ive found that speed puping below one helps me in no way and feel my combat speed is just as fast as if i were 1.2 speed, but thats me, i honestly don't understand why every1 loves DPS so much
