Thread: Bounty Hunter PVP Petition
Yes it needs to be implemented, yes there proabaly will be problems,make it so the bounty's are very expensive.But the whole point of being a bounty hunter is to put fear into other players, some day i would like to walk into a cantina on a saturday night when theres 20 or 30 people in there and have master bounty hunter over my head and have 4 or 5 people in there with bountys on them wondering if im here for them. The least they could do is say there working on it there were so many things promised by them that are not ready that its getting to the point its getting ridiculous.They do need to address this issue and many others at least reply to the fact that you promised us this and are still working or other more importantthings are being fixed before this.Everyone please post the petition on every board you can find.Most people that play this game probaly would like to see this implemented to.

Another Idea to kick around might be Bounty Points...the more successfull missions you have the more points you accrue...the more well known you are.....
Lets say you accomplish an amazing amount of missions...in the Star Wars universe, wouldnt guys like Boba or Bosk or some other high profile BH take notice and perhaps realize you are taking some of their business...THEIR credits? I would think so.....I would also think they might set out to eliminate the competition.....
To have Fett or Bosk on my tail would be exciting to say the least....even though I know a dirt nap would be the end result.
What do you guys think?

I think it's also important to note that any master/elite profession should be allowed to take lucrative "special" missions that have the risk of incurring a bounty if not completed. As extras, perhaps it's possible that these missions be tailored to various professions to allow greater incentive for involvement, are assigned by one faction against another, again increasing the chance of incurring a bounty by loss of faction pts, and maybe the most ambitious missions could involve more than one PC...?

Someone mentioned previously the problem of your PC Mark not being online at the time the bounty is taken. I don't think this is necessarily an issue as the BH can stick the mark on their "friends" list and get prompted when he or she is online. I think any time limit placed on the PC bounty mission should refect this possibility and perhaps could also be further mitigated by allowing multiple BHs to go after the same mark; after all, weren't there multiple BHs who were after Han Solo in addition to Boba Fett? An interesting twist might be to allow the competing BHs to attack each other to eliminate competition and generally make life more interesting...
I think any BH killed by the Mark should perhaps lose some faction standing but not necessarily incur a bounty themselves. Furthermore a Mark's bounty should not be affected if a pursuing BH is killed. The bounty should persist until they pay it off or get killed themselves, such is the nature of the game.
Initially only NPC factions should be allowed to assign bounties to PCs. Whether failing a special mission or incurring a certain amount of negative faction points, or both, the Mark should always have the option of paying off their bounty even after a BH has taken it. Bounties assigned by PCs or PAs should be tackled only if the NPC faction assigned bounty system pans out.
Lastly, I don't think the BH should necessarily be able to loot the Mark's possessions (although I do think they should be entitled to any hard credits on the corpse) however perhaps as a compromise the BH should have the option of moving the corpse itself...?

In a couple of weeks we will see more and more swindlers and smugglers..
What better way to punish these (and give them the rush of never feeling safe) than by putting bounties on them?
Not sure if this will do any good but here ya go hehe.
BTW check out my post 'Bounty Hunters as a Faction' for some ideas on how PVP could be implemented by bounty hunters being given their own faction(forgive the shameless plug hehe).
