C'mon stop whining about offline Jedi get out there and hunt. After all, a "real" bounty hunty wouldn't cry about such things! This patch separates the men from the boys, blah blah blah...
I've had 3 offline Jedi in a row. The system that checks if the Jedi is offline is obviously broken. I doubt very much that every single BH who has encountered this selected Jedi who coincidentally decided to log off 2 minutes after accepting the mission.
Goodness, the Devs couldn't even get an online/offline check to work.
I personally logged my Jedi on long enough to drop some stuff off in a house and factory, some resources and harvesters and to claim my vet reward. People actually do long in just for a few minutes before switching over to an alt. I guess I could do that more often just to screw with people, but that wouldn't be very nice.
What is needed is a system where people decided to be listed on the BH terminals. That way you will come upon a willing mark. That would solve all the problems. Yes, there are non-jedi that actually want to be on the terminals.
Your "Friend Online" messages seem to work just fine. As I suggested elsewhere, just giving us a generic "Jedi Target Friend" that would let you keep up with whether they are on or offline would be great.

Its hard to tell if this is a bug or game breaking or an exploit. But really its probably any of them since the publish just went live yesterday. YOu have to remember that for all the jedi (which is alot) to get on the terms they might actually log when u get the mission. I mean from my friends list before Publish 20 I still saw jedi constantly logging in and out.
On the technical side you have got to give the system time to update. Think of all the jedi and all the people tracking them, and the lag it would cause if the terminals and peoples loctaions and status was updated on the terms every second? It wouldn't be good, I don;t know about time and the programming invovled but for me even a delay of 5 or 10 minutes is enough, after all you are not loosing any droids and its just going to be one of those things. Is it really that bad that you need walk back to the terms in kardaar (or drive) which takes like 10 seconds to get another mission?
Its not really game breaking and there are lot more other things that are more important between the jedi and bh to get fixed
There is no lag involved at all if you do it like this:
1. Jedi are added to the terminals when they log on, if their visibility is high enough
2. Jedi are removed from the terminals when they log off, if they were on terminals
I am not exactly sure how it works in this game, but from my experience with coding and games (as I do it for a living) is that you can't always just send messages to tell with all the other factors invloved (I am actually a designer and have no coding experience but get enough from the guys I work with) BUt something has to check alot of the time to see if they ar logged in or not etc etc
I am not saying I am right but or that my opinion is better here all I am trying to say is that it might be a little more difficuilt to fix than it seems since know one knows how it works. Its like updated GUI like characters on a map, there is checking back and forward on all sides to see who is there and who isn't. It probably could be done it was just possible a point of view why it wasn't. Some corners need to be cut somewhere and it could be here. Just rambling now and talkin about something I don't know how it was created but just a possibility
I have yet to find an online target."
Did you do ANY today? I did 3 yesterday and didn't have probs except 1 was offline, but I picked up 6 missions today with ALL telling me they were not online.

Classic proof of the warnings I gave during beta to anyone who would read or listen.
The problem is simple: if you add Jedi to the terminals when they log on, but you do not remove them from terminals when they log off, you don't need a rocket scientist to tell you that eventually (12, 24, 36, 48 hours after the server has been reset)the number of missions for offline Jedi will totally swamp the small number of missions for online Jedi.
The fix is equally, even stupidly, simple: when Jedi log off, and the system is saving their status etc., call a subroutine to remove their mission from the terminals.
I did not have this problem once yesterday, today its all I seem to be able to get.
Since the patch i'm keep results of EVERY bH mission i do. at the end of the week I'll post them

Had this 11 times in a row...intended?
Mind you I think this really sucks for you BH, I was once 1 of you, but the more and more i think about it the more and more i think it is intended. No where on the patch notes does it say that the missions will be removed once the jedi logs out andthere in lies the problem. I think what is happin is that each time the jedi logs in a mission is being put on the terms. Think about it I log in 2 times each time a do thats 2 missions now on the terms and they just keep growing and growing and growing. I hope this isnt the case and is fixed very soon. I was looking forward to some good pvp.
