Sorry dude, if you didn't deliver the DB or the triple incap then you didn't complete your mission. If you were rewarded credits then you completed your mission. Looks as if your target was on his second incap and you happened to show up for the third one.

If your player rating went up I would count it asa kill , if you did not die before and were still chasing him etc.
However since you died, I am not sure you should count that as your first. In either case congrats on the almost kill and get them next time.

I was out tonight and decided to try my luck at some more jedi hunting(all the ones before were in houses). So after one house-sitter i got a target that was on endor, I was suprised as not many are on endor these days. I thought they must be at the dwb or camping black suns for armor.
My temp is MBH/MP/2000cm and i got a pretty good pistol and good recon but i hadnt gotten round to the foods. I noticed that my mark was just south of the smuggler's outpost so i guessed he was there hunting black sun. I kept my distance and watched him move around the southern part of the mountain, i sent out a seeker to learn their name and watched his movements. He seemed to be moving around and stopping once or twice.He made a little circle around me and then i decided i would justride up, and go guns blazing.
When i got close i was surprised to see him in a group, killing a gurreck lair, I quickly tabbed him and saw he was fighting gurrecks with little force buffs on him. So, I first a few shots that missed(again, i didnt have food) and then i landed a crit shot and another shot quickly after, to my complete astonishment those 2 shots capped him, but the gurreck he was fighring aggroed on me and i had difficulty targeting and DBing, in the end i had to triple cap him.
I finished off the gurreck and left quickly, all grp members just standing and staring, and further to my complete surpirse i was paid a very handsome sum of 225k in total for the jedi kill. I was inawe that i was able to take down a 225k jedi in 2 hits(his health was full at the time). So i proceded back to the Outpost with a smile on my face

congrats on first kill 
i would say he prob had half health but lag had'nt updated his ham bar for you yet.
but still grats
