Jargal wrote:It would be great to move cloak to master box. Jedis with cloak are allready pretty bad pvpers, and that would make them even weaker i hope. Or you could increase the force cost, so they can only be invisible for a short period of time.
I mean jedi already got alot of stuff like the /duel exploit, the healing while KDd, the househiding, the kashyyyk entire planet, better force armor then any crafter made armor, better resistance vs all states than a TKM, etc, etc...the list is soooo long and boring.
They dont need this cloaking on top of all this.
a) If you assume Jedi with Force Cloak in their template are bad PvPers, you are in for a rude awakening. PvP is about player skill and knowledge of a template, and Cloak opens up a whole new world of strategies apart from "stand still and take a beating while trying to dish out more damage than your opponent".
b) Moving cloak to Master Powers would change nothing in the skill itself, cloakers could still do the same things you complain about currently - talk about useless "fix".
Apart from that, if somebody has cloak because he likes the tactics Force Cloak supports, but chose Lightsabers as the primary offense because it is better against other Jedi, and you now tell him to take Master Powers instead, you are also in for a rude awakening. If you get schooled by MDef / MLS without any crowd control who just beat you to death, you will be surprised of the hurt a Master Force Wielder can put onto non-Jedi (and non-Defender / non-Enhancer Jedi). If you meet a Force Wielder who knows how to play his template, you will lose control of the battle and just be a ball in his game.
c) Concerning the "/duel" exploit: The current "duel" situation is here because BHs were exploiting the /duel command to prevent a Jedi from attacking back to get easy kills. Jedi currently have it because BHs exploited it in a far more serious way.
d) Everybody can heal while KDed - Instant Stims and Ruby Bliel are your friends.
e) Whats wrong with househiding? If you dont want to stalk and follow your mark around and spend the necessary time to get your payout, dont become BH. Dont expect to get a waypoint from your seeker, travel there and find a favorable situation.
f) Force Armor is way inferior to crafted armor. Master Defender has an armor rating of 7000, Enhancer x4xx has an Armor Rating of 6000, Def 00xx / Enh x4xx has an Armor Rating of 7000. Last time I checked the standard BH Jedi-hunting armor was 7500+ AR, a lot of BHs have 8100+ rated armor with armor break slices on top of that.
g) Jedi may have better state resists in Defender and Enhancer, but regular professions get state recovery skills. Jedi do not have blind, stun and dizzy recovery. If a Jedi wants to cure states, he has to spend 28 skill points in Healer xxx4.
You should research your facts before posting, judging from this post of yours you dont know a lot about Jedi and just join the "I cant beat an evasive template with my kill-the-tank-template, it needs nerfing"-bandwagon.

yep! this arguement is old and BS!
We had the same problems with Feign Death pre- CU so get over it,Its a Im not your content button! Nothing like a i win button! /grrrr /yawn
try going overt and getting ganked by 3 guys cloaked waiting for you at the recruiter. cloak ftw
You dont go overt when you see 3 opposing overts standing next to the recruiter, you dont go overt when you suspect three opposing riflemen covered up close by the recruiter, why do you go overt when you suspect three cloaked Jedi nearby?
Declare at faction bases where you are protected by NPCs. And declare in groups - SWG is a group game.

Another cry baby, grow up and learn how to play. Maybe we should give up something if they do, lol.

how can you suspect them of being there if you cant even see them?
your answer is, dont declare in a city? yep this 1 skill is overpowered if you cant use city recruiters anymore

How do you know that no imperial riflemen are covered up in the hills above Anchorhead? How can you know that no rebel riflemen are covered up between Bestine City and Bestine Imperial Base?
If you join the Special Forces you consent to PvP, and you know that your opponents might hide with /cover or /forceCloak and have an alpha strike ability. As I said, declare in places where your opponents will have a hard time hiding, and declare in groups.
3 cloakers ganking you is no different than 3 swordsman ganking you in the next starport you load into overt.

I'm a jedi, and a BH. Anyone who says cloak is fine how it is, you are seriously wrong my friend. Such a powerful skill at a tier 4 box, is NOT right. Cloak is not possible in any way shape or form to overcome. all the jedi has to do is root you, run out a bit, and cloak. they win.
Like the other person said, having it work like a burst run would be fine and dandy. Not overpowering or anything. if not, it NEEDS moved to the master box. If it did get moved, it would please the TRUE powers users, instead of all the wanna be's dabbling in it just for cloak. In turn getting their sub-proffesion nerfed.
I see it from both sides of the fence, and I know what i'm talking about.

May I ask for your BH template then, please? Is it CM- or rifle-heavy or do you have carbines and pistols?
Moving it do Master does not change the skill itself, so everything that is being complained about here would still be happening the same way it is happening now.

The only way there is a "win" is if there is a DB, What you describe isa forced draw.

It's not the I win button, or the getaway button. It's the I takecontrol of the fight away from BH's button and you all hate the fact you no longer have control of the fight.

From one of my posts:
"A few facts are coming.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of improved force aura (granted at 0040 defender), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of improved force valor (granted at 0004 defender), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of improved force armor (granted at 0400 enhancer), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of advanced force heal (granted at 4000 healer), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of improved saber armorbreak and improved saber powerattack (granted at 0400 saber), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi kills a BH with the help of a finely constructed saber and saberthrow (granted at 0004 saber and a +25 exp clothing possibly), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi runs away from a BH by using force run 2 (granted at 4000 enhancer), it's fine. Do you want it nerfed? No. Do you want it moved to the master box? No.
If a jedi runs away from a BH by using force cloak (granted at 0400 powers), it's a retarded cheap move that makes all jedi inhonorable and that ruins your gameplay. Do you want it nerfed? Yes. Do you want it moved to the master box? Yes."
So... all of you who say cloak should go to mpowers, you also think all these abilities should go to the master box? I mean how come a little dabbler can use saber armorbreak, spin, whatever, without MLS? How come a little dabbler can use aura (which is truly an overpowered I WIN button) without MDEF? OMGOMGOMGOMG
