The devs have to change kashyyyk jedi being impossible to track, i don't have rotw it's impossible for my bh to hunt jedi on kash, but if it isn't a safe haven for jedi they will spread back into the other planets making it possible to hunt jedi again

so if your cl was 120 then would you agree that you are overpowered for doing basically nothing? or would you still try and stick to your stance that you guys are underpowered?

Wow, how to take something out of context 101 with Professor Aekeem. My point is people bandy these numbers around "1.5 times a normal profession" and such but miss the fundamental point. We are not intended to be THAT strong. Do you think the nerfs that hit us were for spite or because we were far too powerful for "Padawans"? I think the latter. Maybe a FRS player, whenever the hell that gets reinstated, will be that strong, but look at the numbers and they will tell you that we are not.

People have pointed out that sabers do less damage than any elite level weapon does, and at a compelte temp, these are all we are allowed to use. They show the healing times compared to a CM or a Doc. We haven't the access to those skills at a completed template. My point is these numbers haven't changed since the CU and by all the looks of it, they won't.

I am one of those rare Jedi players who want us removed from the GCW...badly. 90% of Jedi issues revolve around our visibility and the GCW is what causes that visibility. If you could go on a base raid and see maybe 3 or 4 Jedi, wouldn't that have an impact as opposed to seeing a dozen or more per side? Jedi should not be light or dark based on GCW choices, but skill set and ingame actions. The Devs haven't thought that far ahead though.

You won't hear me saying we are under or overpowered. I will say some skills have been nerfed, but the reason for the nerfs lies in what I posted above...GCW and numbers(read visibility). Jedi skills should be just right for fighting other Jedi and PvE content, not GCW base raids.

Some of us jedi worked damn hard for the Jedi Knight title, working our way through many, many months of solo killing and watching the radar till our eyes bled.

Some of us jedi worked hard through the FS grind, not throwing a single grenade, and being at the keyboard for each and every skill point earned.

More jedi than you think can say they worked for theirs. I did all of the above. While working full time with a wife and a 3-year-old boy at home. Took me over a year.

More jedi than you think can say this. Why? Because most of the authentic jedi stay away from these God-forsaken boards.

As for the thread topic, bounty hunters should get the name of a Jedi mark from the seekers on the Wookie planet.

For the other part. I have mastered the bounty hunter profession 3 times, twice by hand and once using the respec to get through the investigation tree. At the risk of sounding like I walked up hill both ways to school in a driving blizzard, I was a bounty hunter when you had to master both marksman and scout in a time when there were no mounts or player ciites. A time when Jedi did not exist and I'd dare to say, if you were playing, it wasn't as a bounty hunter. The last time I ground bounty hunter it took less than a week including the investigation branch (without using 2x XP). As a Jedi its taken nearly 2 months to get6 boxes of jedi skills. I've lost nearly 1 million xp to bounty hunter deaths as a gravey train for every respec on the server. Every second I have been at the keyboard and the vast majority of players I've grinded with are at theirs too. Withone level 4 box in bounty hunter I can get about 7k XP per kill. If I were lucky enough to have a level 4 box as aJedi, my max xp per kill is still around 1k. That is a huge difference, so excuse me if it pisses me off to hear how easy it is to grind Jedi from somene who has never done it at the keyboard, or at all. Not to mention, it took nearly 9 months to grind out the village xp so I could grind even more.

What miffs me most are those who pretend that Jedi somehow invented AFK grinding. From the early days of this game, players have AFK ground:

The mobs just outside the Corellia Starport (which was also an early day loot spot)
The Nargalatch cave on Naboo
The Squill Caves
Ft. Tusken
The Warren
The Geo Caves
Point 0,0 on Endor
And Many Others

Get off the high horse. The problem with AFK grinding is "AFK Grinding" ... Not Jedi. Remove Jedi from the GCW? Sure, why not, for the Jedi order its always been about the battle between the Sith and Light Orders. Reducing Jedi to the same power level as other players is simply moronic and their hasn't been one good reason stated in any thread I've ever read on these forums to justify it, other thatn elite professions cause unbalance. Remove Jedi from the GCW, and other than duels, the balance returns. Today's bounty hunter uses the term exploit like picking up candy at the store. BTW, I'd bet your local store no longer has stools and a soda fountain either. The point being, things change. This game has changed many times and will change many more. Either adapt or pay someone else to make you happy.

the difference between a pistoleer afk grindingto master and a jedi afk grinding to knight is that the knight gets a power advantage which you yourself admit you "should" have, and it is "moronic", yet here is a solid reason, refute it please. also what is this "term exploit" you speak of? i'd like to hear what that is.

What? No where in my post do I say that Jedi should not be an elite combat player class. You too can be a Jedi or decide not to pursue the class. The choice is yours! But to simply deride a player base who spent their game time pursuing a specific goal which is too your disliking doesn't show much maturity. I believe you know exactly what I mean by exploit and the bounty hunter community's over relaince on the term.

/golfclap way to take a post put it in a new context and make me look a jack A$$. Why didn't you include the post I posted this in answer to?

I was mearly pointing out Jedi can be ground completely afk and MBH cannot be, so you get off your high horse and read the whole thing in future.

congratulations, but again why did you not include the post I was replying to?. When you ground out jedi it was hard and worthwhile, now with the respecs and double xp every week, jedi can go from no template to full in 4 days while not being at the computer.

I was pointing out that yes you can respec to MBH but to actually grind MBH you have to be at the computer, to grind jedi you don't have to be. I know its possible to grind other professions afk but they are not 1.5 times stronger.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

As for the Kash problem. That could be fixed by upping the agro of the surrounding mobs. One gets attacked and all of the webweavers and wooks from nearby bum rush the group... and maybe add in a few extra.

So, anyone who tried to grind the village would most likely die while in it... wouldn't that be nice? It would take away the grinding nature of the area so the Jedi would have to either find another place (hopefully another planet) to grind or hunt on a smaller scale.

Are the producers aware of what exactly is happening on Kashyyyk as a direct result of this "design decision" and how it doesn't even slightly resemble a "themepark/quest planet" anymore?

Not wanting to sound too up myself here, but I love Kashyyyk, it's more of a themepark than any other place in the galaxy - especially for BH's.

Please tell me you aren't one of these lazy respec BH griefers who won't touch a 226 and doesn't want to actually work to find your mark - it's those people that get the BH's a bad name.

IMO, there is more risk to Jedi grinding on Kashyyyk than anywhere else, they're all in groups together and easy to find, you just have to have the skill to get to them.

I still don't know what the heck these people are talking about. We wanted to stir up the rebels last night so we stationed one player in each instance and started calling off names of rebel jedi which the BH's then took and executed. Seemed like a shooting gallery to me, rebels dying everywhere.

*sigh* I know there are a lot of posts, but the answer is there...in Publish 20, you will no longer be able to plop a spy in each instance, call out names, and have the BHs get the mission, because the names are gone from the mission terminals. They are only given by Seeker Droids, launched on the planet with the mark. Since Seekers do not function on Kashyyyk, the trails and caves just became much, much safer.
